Good morning everyone. We had a beautiful day yesterday,windy but warm and sunny. We had a threat of severe thunderstorms in the evening but TTL we never got any.
Jason had his meet last night and did great. This was the first meet where we didn't freeze. It did cloud over with some mean looking black clouds and we thought we may get rained out but it didn't. We didn't get home until 10 pm. I was tired. We went to bed and I was out before I knew it. Then in the middle of the night I was woken up with a boom. The storm that was preticted to come early in the evening came in the middle of the night. And thank God it did,it was bad. High winds,huge cracks of thunder and lightening,gushing rains. We got up this morning and now have more branches to pick up and burn. One of the bad side effects of living so close to the woods.
While at the meet. I was sitting with some other moms as we normally do. And talking with a mom that my son has gone to school with her daughter since Kindergarten and found out we share alot of the same views on mothering,keeping the home,homesteading. It was a great conversation. I have knowns this woman for 8 or 9 years and never knew this. You learn something new everyday.
It's warm today but wet. They are saying we may be getting more of what we got in the early morning hours this week. So no hanging out the laundry for me today.
I have the laundr started and one load folded and put away. The beds are made. I want to clean up the bedrooms today. I'm not washing the bedding on the kid's beds until I can hang it out to dry. I need to pick up some more honey for bread as I'm down to one loaf already!
Dinner tonight will be chili and cornbread.
