FOR TODAY May 26th 2009

Outside My Window... It is raining again. I am thankful for the rain and pray for those that need it too. It is supposed to rain all week again. I don't know if we need THAT much!! hehee

I am thinking... Of how I can change things within my home. Seems we are all in a bit of a slump and spirits are really down. Lord., lead me!!!  

I am thankful for...  the air I breath, the Lord who comforts me and the friends that make me smile.   

From the learning rooms...  Finishing up with testing so that I can call it a year and start planning for the next.

From the kitchen...It is quiet. I made breakfast for dh when he got in from work this morning at 7am and all is cleaned up and ready for the next meal.

I am wearing... a black pair of cotton/spandex shorts, danskin socks, and a country blue T.

I am 'continuing' to create...  a mini story book, re-doing some postcards AGAIN for swaps I did that didn't make it to their destination, (I am so fed up with the postal service) and some more dish clothes cause one can never have to many. (you can see my work HERE)  

I am going... to head out to the grocery store and then Lowes to pick up my plant lite for the kitchen hutch.

I am reading...Ragwood by: AVI., I know.. it is a children's book but hey... it's about a mouse. :-)

I am hoping... the Lord will bless husband with overflowing joy, carry me through another day, and bring happiness to this house, and my children.... somehow!   

Around the house...I am redoing my sons room. We were blessed with a bedroom suit and he is the lucky recipiant. (thanks for finding it for us Deb) 

One of my favorite things... MICE of course, days filled with sunshine, laughter, a happy husband and happy children. Notes in the mail from friends far away, and keeping in touch with my sisters....where ever they may be.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: finishing J's room, refacing the kitchen cabinets, and then planting the flower patch (if it ever stops raining) .

FOR TODAY May 11th 2009

Outside My Window... It is raining again. I am thankful for the rain and pray for those that need it too. Today, I could really use the sun outside my window though. Lord please, send the sun out tomorrow.

I am thinking... Oh no....... not another drop off doggie. Yup, this one is a beautiful brindle lil girl. She is sooo sweet I don't know why anyone would drop her off. She is great with the kids, the other dogs, and the horses. But NOOOO we can't keep her.

I am thankful for...  the air I breath, the Lord who comforts me and the friends that make me smile.   

From the learning rooms...  today we got to descensitize a filly. She was born yesterday on mother's day to the mare of our Cowboy Sam.

From the kitchen...I can hear Mariah still doing the dishes, singing and dancing about.

I am wearing... a black pair of spandex workout pants, danskin socks, and my Prairiemouse T-shirt

I am 'continuing' to create...  a mini story book, some postcards for swaps I have signed up for, and some more dish clothes cause mine are all disappearing. (you can see my work HERE)  

I am going... to head out to the grocery store and I think I am going to go ALONE! :-)

I am hoping... the Lord will bless husband. Carry me through another day, and bring happiness to this house, and my children.... somehow!   

Around the house...we are just cleaning up from the girls weekend wagon ride.

FOR TODAY May 4th 2009

Outside My Window... This morning it was so gray and raining like the dickens but now the sun is shinning and the clouds are passing. God knows what I needed today as I have to drive the horse trailer about 32 miles and I didn't want to do it in the RAIN!! Thank you Lord.

I am thinking... all that I need to do today. I have to take one of the horses to the barn where we have other horses and have them Shod, then I need to come home and finish 'spring cleaning' my room. While I am out and the girls are with the Farrier I will be finishing my doodles that have to be sent out this week.

I am thankful for...  so many things but most importantly my Lord, my family and my friends. Looking forward to spending some Wild time with my wacky friend soon.  

From the learning rooms...  Today we will go over our lessons for the week, work on our math, science and some creative writing.

From the kitchen...It us completely quiet as the dishes are done, meals are made and dinner is in the crockpot.

I am wearing... a black pair of spandex shorts, an oversized T, comfy danskin socks, and my memory foam slippers. :) 

I am 'continuing' to create...  a mini story book, some ATC's and postcards for swaps I have signed up for. (you can see my work HERE)  

I am going... to make this a good day. I will let NOTHING stand in my way. :-) Not weakness, nor pain... I will regain!!

FOR TODAY March 16th 2009

Outside My Window... there is a heavy blanket of fog. We have had three days of rain, with more to come and sadly today... there is no SUN!

I am thinking... getting out and going to the wellness center today. Ready to have time to swim and goof around with our friends.     

I am thankful for...  The work that my husband has. Although it takes him away all night and half the day, there are so many out there not working or loosing their jobs because of the economy. Thank you Lord for all that you give us.  

From the learning rooms...  Today we will cover Va history, math, spelling and science. I am working on lesson plans for Science through the Summer and I will go over them today with the children to see if there is anything they would like to add!

From the kitchen...I can hear the rustling of lil people (ok so that aren't THAT little getting their plates for our morning nurishment. Thank you Lord for providing us with all the food we need.

Around the house...things are starting to stir. Children are eating their breakfast, then will be gathering their things for school and packing their gym bags.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Working out again on Wednesday and Friday. Sending off the last of my swaps, (I will be taking a break so that I can finish my book), working in the kitchen to repair some cabinet facings and paint around the pantry!

Outside My Window... there is sunshine and warmth. A nice cool breeze and brids singing in the tree's.

I am thinking... of how I am going to stretch the few dollars I have left until payday. God will provide, I have no fear.     

I am thankful for...  The Lord, my family, my friends, the warm weather, the sounds of spring and the strength that the Lord has given me today to tackle all that I have.

From the learning rooms...  we took a day off today so that I could catch up on housework, search for a missing puppy, cat and hamster. (Bless my little girls heart. all of her animals have dissapeared in one week)

From the kitchen... I enjoyed standing at the sink washing the dishes left over from yesterday and from today (My teens are out searching for the animals/working in town on several horses teeth.)

I am wearing... a black pair of workout pants, an oversized T and comfy socks. :) 

I am creating... Cartoon ATC's, a mini story book.

I am going... to make this a good day. I will let NOTHING stand in my way. :-) Not weakness, nor pain... I will regain!!

I am reading...The Shack... ahhh what a wonderful book.

I am hoping... the Lord will bless my efforts through the LOVE DARE workbook. I have never been more touched by a bible study then I am by this one!  

Around the house...things are quiet. I will be fetching the teens here in a bit!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY,  LOVE AND MISS YA!

Outside My Window... Outside my window this morning there is a thick blanket of snow on the ground. We got a total of 8" and wow what a surprise it was. We haven't had this much snow in three years COMBINED!!!  Weeeee

I am thinking... How wonderful it is goig to be to STAY IN today. Enjoy the scene from the office window as I doodle, work, teach. ahhhh what more could one ask for on a Monday morn?     

I am thankful for...  The Lord, my family, my friends, the snow, the sunshine, the wee lil birds and mice that are leaving their prints in the snow. Oopss that one got stomped by a HORSE HOOF!! heehee. 

From the learning rooms...  We will still be focusing on Truth, Healing. Math, science, literature and we might even throw some fun in there and take a break and hit the sleds!! The children have been waiting for this for a long while!   

From the kitchen... all is quiet, and the coffee is gone. Breakfast is over and now it is time for fun!

I am creating... mini postcards and decorative envelopes. I was so excited that the weather was getting warmer I centered my new creations around SPRING. heehee Silly me!

Outside My Window... Outside my window this morning there is a thick frost on the ground. Not something I expected but I won't let it get in my way.

I am thinking... of heading out for therapy. I am feeling pretty good this morning considering the last 'family crisis'. Therapy is going to be good today.     

I am thankful for...  The Lord, my family, my friends, my physical therapists, patience to work at the correct pace, and that time heals a broken heart. 

From the learning rooms... Ahhh the learning rooms. There is so much to learn these days. We will be focusing on Truth, Healing. Math, science, literature and we might even throw some fun in there and make our handmade Valentine's Day cards for our party this week.   

From the kitchen... all is quiet, and the coffee is gone.

I am creating... another zipper pouch bag for a swap that never showed up. Man I have had a lot of those lately. I hate to say it but I don't think I will be doing many international swaps anymore :-(.

I am reading...The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life In God   :-) *in hopes of joining a small woman's bible study group. Whew this book is deep and intimidating but I am determined*

I am hoping... to get more of my books printed AGAIN, I seem to have run out!!! :)

I am hearing... peace and quiet. 

Around the house...everyone is still sleeping, hubby just went to his appointment and I am about to sneak out to therapy.

FOR TODAY January 26th 2009

Outside My Window... outside it looks cold and grey. The wind is blowing and the air is crisp.

I am thinking... of the therapy I will be having this morning praising God that I do feel relief and looking forward to new stretches I can try.   

I am thankful for...  The Lord, my family, my friends, my renewed joy and for a church that teaches in a way I can understand and follow. 

From the learning rooms... We are switching a few days this week in hopes that we can spend an entire day at home. We will be going to the wellness center today for PE instead of tomorrow since I have to go out there for therapy anyway, then tomorrow we can stay home, there is nowhere I have to go.  

From the kitchen... the smell of cappacino brewing, coffee for dh and the sound of my ds crushing up some ice for my V8 to take to the wellness center.  mmmm  

I am wearing... brown and pink workout pants, a brown oversized shirt and a comfy pair of socks.

I am creating... this week I will be creating three more 'stuffies' then decide who get's which one for the Valentine swap, which child will recieve one of the others for our Valentine's Day party. It is fun to make these lil guys.  

I am going... out to the wellness center for therapy, stopping by the library and then off to Sam's farm so Mariah can ground work a filly. Whew, long day but I so look forward to stay in tomorrow. :-)

I am hoping... to get all my swaps done and mailed. All the Girlscout postcards out and my package to my grandbaby. I got him a we lil cow that allows him to name a star of his own. I can't wait until he receives it. Of course Mom and Dad will name the star for him.  :)

I am hearing... everyone getting ready to head out the door and the rustling of dog food bags with children preparing to feed. 

Around the house... this week I will be touching up some painting in hallway and finishing up the Girls bathroom.

FOR TODAY January 19th 2009

Outside My Window... Woke up this morning to two inches of snow. Golly, wasn't even expecting that one! It is a beautiful blanket of white with no disturbances yet. The dogs are huddled in the large planters in the front of the house (gee you think they would go to the barn) and the cats are cuddled in with them. The horses are in the barn and waiting to be fed.

I am thinking... of the therapy I will be having this morning praising God that I do feel relief and looking forward to new stretches I can try.   

I am thankful for... the chance to tell my dh and children how much I love them again, my renewed joy and for a church that teaches in a way I can understand and follow. The Lord, my family, my friends.

From the learning rooms... Today we will be focusing on Math, creative writing, preparation for our presentations this week, and the new unit study we are starting.... Peter Pan.

From the kitchen... the smell of cappacino brewing. mmmm  

I am wearing... navy blue leggins, an oversized shirt and a zip up hooded sweatshirt.

I am creating... well I guess I can say RECREATING swaps that didn't make it to their destination. (how I hate when original artwork gets lost.) 

I am going... out to the wellness center for therapy, stopping at the dollar general to return some items I bought the girls last week that don't fit, then back home to finish our school day.

I am reading... 1 Cor 5,6 and 9 in The bible this is what our teaching was on yesterday. Perfect timing in the world of ME. :-)

I am hoping... to get all my swaps redone and mailed. To get more primers printed and in the mail, and to accomplish all the Lord has lined up for me this week. :)

I am hearing... one of the cats playing with a plastic ball and me wee lil pumpkin chasing it all over the house.

Around the house... this week I will be touching up some painting in the girls room and redoing their bathroom.

FOR TODAY January 12th 2009

Outside My Window... This morning when I awoke and headed out the door for Physical Therapy there was the most beautiful sunrise I had seen in a long long time. The huge bright orange/red sun peered through big white burley clouds with the most beautiful beam of light shinning upward, and two stretched out to either side. It was just beautiful. (I will have to attempt to paint this and share it with you)

I am thinking... of the therapy I will be having this morning praying that it will help reduce the pain I have been in since well before Christmas.

I am thankful for... the new day, a new vision, The Lord, my family, my friends

From the learning rooms... Today we will be focus on Math, creative writing, preparation for our presentations next week, and sewing. I only have two children to teach today as M is laid up with a sinus infection.

From the kitchen... the smell of this morning’s breakfast lingers (sausage biscuits) and lunch is being prepared.

I am wearing... brown and pink workout pants and an oversized shirt.

I am creating... organization boxes for all the little things like pens, pencils, paperclips. I have become fond of small wooden boxes and have them throughout the office holding different things.

I am going... nowhere else today. Therapy really wore me out.

I am reading... The bible

I am hoping... that I will not wake up so sore tomorrow that I can't move. :)

I am hearing... silence. The children are reading while lunch is cooking.

Around the house... there are things to be done such as laundry and today I am going to begin the 'finishing' of the inside of the house, therefore there will be some touch up painting being done and some door frames being disassembled.
