BFS assignment #23
For this weeks assignment it was decided to take an idea from a fellow BFS'r. "I think it would be interesting to find out if some of the other ladies have sunk their teeth into something new in the last year or so, what are they enthralled with, what has claimed the fires of their passion." You can post pictures or as many things as you'd love to start doing for YOURself.
Here is MINE: I would have to say that the fire of passion for me is to write homeschool curriculum and drawing. I used to attend art classes in high school but never pursued it much after that. Well my dear Friend got me hooked on it again this year by doing Illustration Friday. I know my drawings aren't the greatest right now but they are getting better. After 20 some odd years of not drawing and having health issues that sometime enable me to write let alone draw, I think they are coming along OK. PLUS I get to attend a workshop with my dear friend this summer that I am totally looking forward to and THAT will help me learn water colors again. Ohhhh I am so excited.
I guess you can say my FIRE has been lit!
What is your answer to the assignment? Look forward to reading all my BFS classmates assignments.

I'm a prairie gal too.. in Canada though.
Cindy, I haven't drawn in 18-19 years. I was involved with a man who was in the industry - an Art Director in an advertising agency. He poo-pooped my work.. I never did much after that, he killed my joy. DON'T LET ANYONE DO THAT TO YOU.. if they don't like it.. tough!!! It's if YOU like it that counts.

I also enjoy art but like you haven't pursued it much until last Friday. We studied Monet and I joined the kids in creating my own piece of impressionism art. You can view our artwork on my blog. Have fun with your art passion!
