Sweet Sixteen

My first born babe has turned Sixteen. Mariah, born Sept 5th 1991. She has grown into a sweet young lady with alot going for her. Her sweet sixteen birthday wish was to go to Grayson Highlands National Forest and meet some wild horses. Well we did just that.

Here is the Birthday Gal

Dad, Mariah, Destiny and Joshua headed out on a two hour hike It wasn't long before they spotted some wild horses in the distance. That made her day!! Aren't they just beautiful. This looks to be a mommy, foal, and pony. Beautiful colors. A little further down the way they met up with a few minitures. Here is one that came right up to them as if to say Happy Birthday... so tiny and loveable. They walked a bit more down the trail only to discover they were being followed... This gal was curious to see if the kids had anything sweet to offer. heehee

Before returning back to the picnic area where I was relaxing, Destiny discovered this lil chipmunk and followed where it went...

his own little dwelling. I guess he was anxious to hide cause you can't see him in this picture. heehee

It was a really great day! When they returned to the picnic area we had lunch sang Happy Birthday to Mariah and used her sandwich and a butterknife as cake and candle. We really had a great time.

Happy Birthday Honey., we love you!!

Oh and before I go I want to share my scene from the picnic area where I relaxed and made note cards, drew a little bit, fed the birds and just enjoyed God's wonderful creation. Here is my view..

the bird I was feeding... The flowers I got to enjoy... Isn't His creation just wonderful.
