Sweet Sunday

I know this is a bit late and Sunday was a few days ago but I just had to share what a sweet Sunday it was.

The children and I got up early and headed out to church so that we can make coffee and tea for those who came in. Then we took the children of those that are  in  the praise and worship team and made a craft with them while they practiced before the service. The service was beautiful as usual but what made this one special is that many of our church members had just returned from Nicaragua and they were sharing their stories. Aww to see the new light in the eyes of the youth that were blessed enough to go. You can just tell it was a life changing trip for them. They shared photos with us, tears, accomplishments and joys. It was a wonderful day.

On the way home I was rehashing in my mind all the stories and the new lives those teens were living when all of a sudden I passed a tall stalk of milkweed and low and behold there was a Monarch Caterpillar. I didn't think I was going to find one this year. It was such a blessing. These are the most brilliant life cycles we can share. The children and I had the privilege of watching a few make the most beautiful chrysalis' ever a couple years ago and now we can enjoy it again.

We picked it up on a milkweed leaf and brought it home to put in our lil bug box. I am praying that we are able to find more soon.

Anyway, today when I was putting in fresh milkweed leaves I noticed that he had crawled to the top of the cage and you can see just the tiniest of web being formed.

I know it is hard to see but if you look at the top of the cage you can see the little white area., that is the forming of the web. Here he is from the other side. (sorry for the quality of pictures but I didn't have time to even transfer him to the clear glass container) I can't wait to see that beautiful chrysalis with the golden ring. God is so creative isn't He.
