Mad-a-gas-car Monday

01:04, Tuesday, June 26, 2007 .. 3 comments .. Link

Well it was the usual 'running here and there' sort of Monday for us. We started off at the Dr. office getting Mariah's cast off (boy was she thrilled)From there we went to pick up some lunch (having to wait three hours in the Dr. office made us both a little hungry)

Then to the pharmacy to pick up refills for who ever needed them. From there we went to Artifax to pick up our compasses. We are so excited to have finally gotten them .The children are looking forward to making more geometric shapes. We have been waiting awhile for these to come in.

Then we were finally headed for home and realized we needed to stop for gas. Soooooo there we were, pumping the gas and the $ amount just kept going and going and going, you would think the energizer bunny himself was living in the pump. Anyway, we finally stopped at $83.00 GEESH I really need for these gas prices to go down, how about you?

Once I got home I worked on the Menu planning and this is what I came up with...

Monday ~ B: cereal (which Mariah and I missed cause we hopped up and went to the Dr office) L: Sub Sandwiches D: Salsbury Steak with cheese fries

Tuesday ~ B: Pancakes and banana's L: Hot dogs and chips (needed to make it simple since we are baking cookies and such for our Horse riding Class Graduation) D: On the road again (we will most likely pick up something out as we have to have the new tires put on the car on our way to Riding Class)

Wednesday ~ B: Eggs, sausage and cheese burrito's with rice L: Pizza D: Chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes SNACK: Purple Cows

Thursday ~ B: Strawberry Scones, milk or juice L: Monster Sandwiches D: Spaghetti with homemade noodles and sauce, Garlic Bread and Salad

Friday ~ B: Farmhouse Pizza L: Beef and noodles and cheese fries D: Pork Chops, Zucchini sticks and Salad SNACK: Banana Splits

Saturday ~ B: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuts and Milk L: Chef Salad D: Leftovers (whatever we can scrounge up)

Hope your tummies are always full and your days are filled with fun!

Ah, the Price of Gas

06:58, Tuesday, June 26, 2007 .. Posted by Patti
oh, yes, the price of gas IS a killer. I have a mid-size car, and it takes $50 to fill it up!!! However, one good thing I see from the price of gas is that it very definitely keeps me home more. I had already come home in my heart and embraced being home-centered, but with the price of gas, I am even less likely to do alot of "dumb running around." I have learned to combine my trips instead of running out each and every day. Not to mention, the AC is broken in my car....that keeps me home as well.

By the way, Purple cows sound interesting. So do monster sandwiches. Care to share some recipes?

Blessings,
Patti

My Word, how much is ya'll gas there, or is it you have a huge tank.? I would not be on the roads much with the little bill..Our gas here is 2.85 which is down from 3.10 which is still cheaper than most folks...Debbie

A question...
