What a Week

 Hello everyone,

I haven't posted for awhile thanks to the floating stomach bug. I haven't been anywhere to catch a bug so I am assuming it just floated into my home through an open window and slapped me right in the face. Praise God noone else in my family has been effected by it. I suppose since my immune system is so low that it hit me like a ton of bricks. Monday around noon I sat with the children and ate a simple lunch. Ham and cheese sandwich and a simple salad. Unfortunately I have to buy Romain lettuce by the bag (already prepared) so I had that, cottage cheese and dressing. Well, within 30 minutes I was hit with furious vomiting and well diareah too. Now with my 'illness' the one they are still trying to figure out what it is, I have dry heaves quite often but this was horrible. In the ER they treated me with phenergan and an IV. After several hours they sent me home with more phenergan and said to get plenty of rest. Well I completely lost Tuesday and I was in and out of it on Wednesday but today I am finally feeling a bit normal. I pray none of you or your family members get this buy, it just was not fun. Needless to say I didn't get to post the Ground Hog activities but will soon.

Tomorrow I am supposed to go and have an EGD done at the local hosp, just when I started feeling better right. I do hope this will lead to some answers though. I have been fighting dry heaves for such a long time now and could really use an answer as to why. So, please, my homeschool friends, pray for me and for the doctors that will be tending to me, that we are able to find an answer to this madness.

AS FOR TODAY., I am trying to get ahead of things and prepare for tomorrow. The children will be able prepare the meals for tomorrow and DH will be home after the procedure so he can help with other things but I want to get all their school work in order so that there is no question as to what needs to be done. For those of you that know me, I do good to have todays work in order at the beginning of the day, let alone be prepared for two days heehee. But, God willing, I will manage.

I do want to mention something that we have been working on and something I will be adding to my Catagories. My children and I have been working on our Hope Chests (for my girls) using The Hope Chest: A legacy of love and our Treasure Chest (for my son) using The Boy Joiner and we will be posting what we are making at the time for those two subjects. I don't know if anyone else has ever done so but I am making a 'hope chest' for the wife to be of my son. There are so many families these days that don't do 'hope chests' anymore so I have decided to make this special wedding gift for my 'daughter in law to be'. Since my oldest son is already married, whenever the girls and I add something to our hope chests I make one for my Beckie and will mail them off to her twice a year. My younger son is making a Teasure Box to put things such as tools and woodworking that he creates in there so he will have them when he marries and moves in his own home. You know, I guess I should be making these items for my oldest daughter as well. She is already out on her own, with her own place and never got the chance to start a hope chest. hummm I think I will do just that. Then I can mail them to her twice a year as well. Anyway, I just wanted to mention it so then you can look into those catagories later to see what we have done.

I pray you all have a nice day and a wonderful weekend.

Blessings and more

Cindy

Hello Cindy!

What a nice welcome!

We are excited to get to know others here at homesteadblogger. We have been gardening for about 14 years. We now live on 1 acre and have a nice size garden with many fruit trees. We only wish we could have some chickens or other type of animal.

I have so many hobbies that I can't hardly what to share them . I have found so many recipes from others here that it makes me want to try a new recipe each day:)

Many Blessings,

Ma
