gardening day

Well, I spent most of the day putting in cabbage plants. My kids took my cabbage plants and put them where the dogs could get them. So of course the dogs took them and scattered them all over the yard! I had to take them out and plant them even though the garden hasn't been tilled yet. I just took a hoe and had my oldest son help me chop the weeds up. So while I was out there putting in cabbage I went ahead and put in my onion sets. There were wild onions all over the garden spot where the original onions plants had seeded out. I took them and dried them and planted them as sets. I had hundreds of them!!! So I spent the afternoon planting and enjoying being in the sunshine. What a nice day! I can't wait to put in my seeds! |
