My worn old kitchen/canning apron (I need to stitch a new one!)
Baking – Favorite thing to bake
Roast Sticky Chicken, homemade bread, and Amish Sugar Cookies

Yes...will be making a much larger one!
Donuts – Have you ever made them?
Yes
Every day – One homemaking thing you do every day
One??? Clean....no, cook...no, sew...no, schooling...
Freezer – Do you have a separate deep freeze?
Yes -- two of them
Garbage Disposal – Y/N?
do the children count? what about the chickens? the dogs, maybe?
Handbook – What is your favorite homemaking resource?
Home Comforts is a good one...so are many blogs here online
Ironing – Love it or hate it? Or hate it but love the results?
well...both. It's a necessary thing whether I love or hate it
Junk drawer – Y/N? Where is it?
Ha Ha...a true homesteader never refers to those areas as "junk drawers" -- they are 'future projects waiting their turn collection areas'
Kitchen – Color and decorating scheme
oh boy...right now ecclectic at best...funky paper, some country stuff, several plants...I will be going for rustic country in the new place...raw timbers, farm motifs, etc.
Love – What is your favorite part of homemaking?
cuddles with the children...until dad gets home
Mop – Y/N?

Nylons – Wash by hand or in the washing machine?
what are those???
Oven – Do you use the window or open the oven to check?
I'm a door-opening peeker
Pizza – What do you put on yours?
pepperoni for the children...extra cheese, all kinds of meats, mushrooms, green peppers and onions for us with a more discerning taste palete
Quiet – What do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment?
my personal Bible reading...once the children open their eyes, there isn't much quiet, persay
Recipe card box – Y/N? What does it look like?
yes...4 of them actually...and they need organizing better and cleaned out
Style of house – What style is your house?
quaint and cozy, gently aged home on a frame -- with not nearly enough natural light
(ok...it's a double-wide, 3 bedroom mobile home)
Tablecloths and napkins – Y/N?
no cloth, but lots of napkins. I'm going to get many more cloth napkins!
Under the kitchen sink – Organized or toxic wasteland?
empty
I'm waiting for the man of the place to start tearing out the countertop and sink for me.
Vacuum – How many times per week?
my vacuum NEVER gets moved from the main area of the house...it just about stays continually plugged in...we vacuum a zillion times a day. weekly???!! Do people really do that only weekly?!
Wash – How many loads of laundry do you do per week?
I try not to think in terms of "per week" as it's too much; we try to maintain at least 2 per day.
X’s – Do you keep a daily list of things to do that you cross off?
I am a one of those Type A personalities...I have to have lists....I don't always follow them, I rarely cross things off when completed, and I tend to re-copy one day's list to the next day sometimes...
Yard – Y/N? Who does what?
Well...used to be the eldest son, but he thinks full-time, gainful employment is better than freebie work on the homefront -- go figure
so generally, me. Here on the homestead of 'just under' 20 arcres, we are striving for no "yard" but a practical use foundation of land for self-sufficiency one day.
Zzz’s – What is your last homemaking task for the day before going to bed?
Hmmm...not really sure. I sort of run on auto-pilot as bedtime draws near....I check the childre so everyone has a blanket and such, tuck in the baby, turn off the lights and lock the door...oh, I do check Miss Escapee to be sure she's fully watered and has ample hay in attempts to keep her satisfied until morning. Kiss hubby and pull my covers up
