Hello Everyone!!! My name is Chas!
I am very, very excited to be the new Senior Editor! I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself to you and just chat. You can also visit me and my family on my blog My Cup Runneth Over at Heritage Acres Farm...
I am a Christian and I am married to my best friend... his name is Shannon, we grew up together in our home town and I just adore him. He is a wonderful husband and father and I look forward to spending the rest of my life being by his side!

We have four beautiful children Cameo is 10, Eli is 5, Carlie Jean is 3 and Abram is 2... we would love for God to bless us with many more children... it is in the Lord's hands.
We live in Georgia, we have lived on this mountain all of our lives and plan on staying put unless God moves and desires for us to be somewhere else. We have 6 acres and hopefully are going to acquire the adjoining acres for pasture land.
We are working towards a more self sufficient life. Meaning that we desire to rely more on ourselves and the Lord than on this world. We have a garden and a small orchard, we hope to get chickens soon, we have had them in the past only to be picked off one by one by stray dogs. We also desire to have a dairy animal at some point, so we can have our own raw milk and make butter, cheese and soap! We homeschool our children and love the lifestyle that it provides... we can focus all of our education on the fact that the chief end of man is to Glorify God!
With this new position, I hope to help us as homesteaders, by sharing healthy home cooked recipes, ideas to live a greener life, ways to live more simply, frugal finds, gardening tips, and whatever the Lord brings across my path. I welcome this opportunity and I thank you guys for your warm affection. God's blessings to each of you!
From my homestead to yours!
~Chas~

Congrats! I just have to add that my little Phoebe had the same Easter dress, she picked it out herself. I thought it was so precious!

I will let you know if I need help with something.
I was blogging at homeschoolblogger but,I did not like it there. My mother maa,and my sister Belle have been blogging here for a while so I decited to start blogging here instead of homeschoolblogger.
So far I love it here!
I think you should get a goat for your dairy animal they eat and drink WAY less than a cow, and they can give around a gallon a day.
Dairy goats are very sweet and gentle if raised right.
Our goats act like kind of like a dog they love attention and, also LOVE following us around.
I think that lamanchas have the best tasting milk.
Our lamanchas were the best goats we EVER had!
