Hi everyone!
Boy, what a week this has been! I've been a LOT more busy than I like to be and it makes me realize just how much I like it when my life is simpler. While sitting in the Dr.'s office this week, I had time to look through three magazines that had arrived the previous day. ALL of them had articles about "going green" and recycling/reusing. The April issue of SHAPE had an interesting tip for recycling - DO NOT throw the caps to bottles into your recycling bag. These caps cannot be processed by recycling machinery and so are cut off and thrown away, often ending up in oceans & rivers. Sometimes, sea animals swallow them causing them to choke. So, when you recycle, do not include the caps. All three of my April magazines -SHAPE, Country Living and Natural Health - had articles on "going green" ... tips to help the environment and save our planet, eco-conscious fashion, green beauty routines, green cleaning, ways to conserve energy and more. I think it's great that magazines of all kinds are helping to spread the word about ways we can help our planet. On a side note, once I'm done reading my magazines, I recycle them by giving them to my hair stylist - she loves to have lots of good magazines for her customers to read!
