I really love container gardening. We move frequently, and with container gardening I can be sure to take my favorite plants with me wherever we go.
I'm also one for easy gardening, and growing in containers certainly cuts down on the workload. No tilling the soil and very little weeding!
Container gardening also lets those living in apartments or other areas where you may not be able to have a "real" garden, grow herbs, flowers, veggies, and even some fruits! I've wanted to have a few dwarf fruit trees for a while. Maybe this will be the year I get them.
Pinetree Garden Seeds has a whole section devoted to Container Vegetable seeds. I'm putting a few of these on my own wish list for the new garden season. Even if I do get to have a "real" in the ground or raised bed garden, it's great to be able to have a few tomatoes or other little treats right there on the porch for easy access
.
Happy Gardening,
