Great Summer Reading Give Away!
Posted in Contests
It's about time we had another contest around here! This contest is for a set of six books, called The Kingdom Series by Chuck Black. A big thank you to Multnomah Books for sponsoring this contest!

The Kingdom Series is an expanded parable that uses the adventures of medieval knights to accomplish the same. This series is great for read-alouds! Designed to instill Biblical character and principles in young people, parents can be comfortable knowing that these books contain no magic, wizardry, mysticism, or fantasy elements.
Each book contains in-depth discussion questions which are great for studies in Literature, History, and Bible.
All you have to do to enter this contest is leave a comment here! You have until July 13, 2007 to enter.
If you don't win but would love to have this set of books for your home library and offer your children something wonderful to read then you can find them at The Schoolhouse Store.
Blessings,
Nancy Carter

Ooh! I'm not sure if I can enter (since it hasn't been too long since I won a contest and I certainly want everyone to have a chance) but this looks like a fantastic opportunity! I have three boys who would love these and I'll have to check them out. :o)

We've been looking at these books for a while now, but just never ordered them. I think my crew would LOVE these. They actually recently asked if we could re-do the Medieval Feast we did a few years ago when we were doing KONOS. And have I mentioned the wooden swords and shields they bought themselves at the downtown festival this summer? They swordfight all day long. gotta love it! LOL
Anyway, yeah, put us in the hat. :)

Our family attends the Renaissance Festival that comes to town every single year, and these books would be a great family reading focus during that time. (Even though my two oldest are now 15 and 11, I read to all the kids together every day.)

I feel the same way girls would like this one too. Also we haven't had brand new books in our library, let me think ever. We always buy used so what a better way to start than to win some.

My husband and son both love stories about knights, and the whole family enjoys the Renaissance Festival in Kansas City. We go every year, and last year, the boys had to watch the jousting tournament twice! We would all enjoy reading these books!
