I know it is the middle of Summer, and hopefully you are in the midst of harvesting lots of great things from your gardens; but it's also a good idea to begin at least thinking about the Fall Garden, too. We had a very late start this Spring, and have had numerous complications; including an overabundance of rain, so I'm counting on Fall being my best bet for gardening.
How many of you plant a Fall garden?
What do you grow in the Fall?
I'm tentatively planning to plant:
Broccoli, Cauliflower, Turnips, Chard, Spinach, Lettuce, Beets, Onions, Garlic, Calendula, and Violas. I'm sure my list will change as time to plant draws nearer; but it is a start
. These crops will go into our raised beds and large containers. If, and that's a big if right now, it ever dries out enough, we are planning to till a small area and plant a few cover/compost crops to prepare that area for Spring planting, too.
Blessings,
Catherine
