The new server is coming!
The new server is coming!
What does that mean to you? Not much really. Other than it gives our site more "room to grow". They will start shifting things on Friday night starting at midnight PST and if you try to log in at that time you will see a message that explains that HomesteadBlogger is unavailable. The migration should take *at least* 6 hours, but don't be surprised if it's longer, we all know how computers are!
Nothing else will change all of your entries and template should be safe, but it is always best to back up your blogs, just in case. You can read how to do that HERE.
They recently made a server change over at HomeschoolBlogger and they did run into a few problems where some people accidentally got banned from the site. We don't anticipate those problems, but if anything like that happens, just email tech support at hsb2admin@homesteadblogger.com with your blog url (like www.HomesteadBlogger.com/HSBFrontPorch) and our tech support team will work to resolve the issue.
We really appreciate you all blogging with us and sharing your lives and homestead tips and want you to have the best possible blogging experience. Our new server will just make things even better. And be sure to take some time to greet all of our new bloggers, I've noticed quite a few recently.
