What a time I have had strolling throughout our town reading these gems! I am amazed, encouraged, and humbled, at the talent and experience here on HomesteadBlogger!
For instance, take a look at Hectic Heaven and the dishcloths she has been weaving, or Gardens and Germans at Greenberry House sharing with us her dye day of Coopworth Skeins being naturally dyed with walnut hulls. How about Amazing Grace Homestead sharing canning and preparedness suggestions. Just take a look at her pantry filled with canning delights! Or Jonathan's first pictures of a gorgeous sky or a budding botanical. You are a natural, Jonathan!
Helping to keep us healthy and green is Simple Homesteading by sharing how she cleans using environmentally (and human!) friendly ingredients, Tender Mercies is showing us some great arm exercises grinding with her Retsel, and Complete Health and Wellness is educating us about glyconutrients.
Home and Family is reminding us that February is National Cherry Month. I knew I was born this month for a reason! Wanna Be A Steader has some scrumptious spice seasonings to share, This Side of Heaven is starting Food Blogging Friday in honor of The Front Porch and its Homestead Kitchen Friday.
The Little Orchard Homestead is telling us how much she loves Mondays. I thought I was the only one who did! The Simple Things Are The Most Precious is excited at her shipment of books arriving, including Carla Emery's book, and Montana Katiecakes is showcasing a must read book to remind you just how good you have it here with all you have to eat.
Abundantly Blessed was super excited about the snow in her area. Seems alot of areas that were lacking in snow are making up for it in the past few weeks. Cold weather was the topic of the week with Carlins Darlin, Home Sweet Simple Home, Blackavar Farm, Ramblings from the Urban Homestead Mama, Simple Guy, My Green Dream, and Spinning Grandma reporting in from all points across the country, reminding us that even with the freaky winter warmth that many were enjoying, winter was going to rear its brutally cold head again! But Spinning Grandma will soon be toasty, with her new corn furnace! Can you feel the warmth? But let's not dwell on the cold, for Backyard Treasure and Miss Robin are showing us signs that Spring is indeed, right around the corner.
And to leave you with a laugh this week, Shephards Daughter reminds us that the grass is never green on the other side, however, it is ALWAYS greener over the septic tank.
Have a great weekend with your family, and be looking for the launching of some great features here on The Front Porch next week!
