Extraordinary uses for olive oil:
Clear up acne. This works! Our daughter, who has had a problem with hormone-induced acne since she got pregnant with her son, started using this tip two weeks ago, and her skin has improved dramatically. Make a paste by mixing 4 tablespoons of salt with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Pour the mixture into your hands and work it around your face. Leave it on for a minute or two, then rinse it off with warm soapy water. Apply daily for one week, then cut back to two or three times weekly. You should see a noticeable improvement in your condition. And she has! Salt is naturally anti-bacterial, as well as exfoliating, and olive oil restores necessary nutrients and moisture without adding oiliness.
Bonus tip: Extra virgin olive oil is made from olives crushed soon after harvest, and is processed without excessive heat. It is expensive, and usually preferred for culinary use. But for non-food applications such as the above, plain olive oil works just as well and saves money.
