Seeds, seeds, MARVELOUS seeds!

Posted in Homestead Garden and Farm

I've noticed lots of you already have seed catalogs pouring in and I've also seen where some people are asking for suggestions for seed catalogs so I thought I'd just let our good friend Mr. Linky help us compile a listing here.

Just add the name and website link to the seed catalogs that you get or would recommend and then leave us a comment about where you like ordering seeds and why. Now is the time to start planning!

If I get a chance I'll try to come up with a button so that we can all find our way back to this entry more easily. Fun, fun, fun. There's always so much to do!

Happy Homesteading,

Dec. 27, 2006 - Real Seeds

Posted by jackiebridgen

I linked to Real Seeds. OK, they are in the UK so many of you may not be able to use them (not sure what the import restrictions are) but they do amazing work on heritage varieties, and deserve every link they can get!

Dec. 27, 2006 - You did it juuuuust right!

Posted by HSBFrontPorch

It's a little confusing because it says "Your Name" and "Your URL", but it will work better if people will just put the Seed Company name & URL and then just tell us about it in the comments.

Thanks,
~Nancy

I think I did that wrong. Anyways, mine links to Seeds of Change. They're certified organic and have bulk discounts for commercial growers. Also, Jung's is having their 100th anniversary and they offer quite a selection of heirloom, open pollinated seeds.

Duh....need more coffee apparently. I'll add Johnny's to the next line but can you take my name off so everyone won't see what a dunce I am......thanks! Denise

I listed two....Johnny's Selected Seeds and Wood Prairie Farm. I've just ordered seed potatoes from Wood Prairie, so I can't vouch for the rest of what they feature. We've used Johnny's for several seasons and have always been pleased. Great idea...there are a few on here I've never heard of, so I'll have to surf around. We like Pinetree Seed and Baker Creek, too. Denise

Dec. 28, 2006 - If you make an oops...

Posted by HSBFrontPorch

I can't (at least I don't think I can) go in and fix it. When you come back to the entry, you should see the words delete or edit next to what you entered. I think that the only one who can make changes to an entry is the author of that entry.

Give that a try anyway! It seemed to work out ok when we did the Shopping with the Bloggers entry.
