Here is a yummy bean dish that makes a great main course if you add hamburger or a nice addition to your meal.
Ranch Beans
4 cups dry pinto beans
10 cups water
4 t salt
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 t cumin
2 t minced garlic
½ t oregano
½ t Worcestershire sauce
¼ t cayenne pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1 can Rotel tomatoes
Put beans in a large stock pot and cover with water, add salt and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and cover with a lid. Cook beans for about 2 ½ hours adding more water if necessary. After the beans have finished cooking add remaining ingredients and let simmer another ½ hour to blend flavors.
