I'm hoping its "oscillococcinum". Seriously. Are there any homeopathic practicioners here at Homestead Blogger? I picked up a package of this homeopathic medicine today, at a friend's recommendation. It is supposedly Natures#1 Flu medicine, and will cure fever, chills, body aches and pains. Since I've had all the above for several days, and since I could probably have bought a good beef roast for what I paid for this medicine, I'm hoping it spells relief....and soon!
Speaking of alternative cures...have you heard the definition of acupuncture? A jab well done.

With all the election news coverage you may have missed this news item....A grenade fell onto a kitchen floor in France, resulting in Linoleum Blownapart.
Ok then. It's back to the couch for me!

I do believe the oscillococcinum worked. I feel much better today. I would definitely try this cure again. Now I'd have to say my interest has been really piqued as to why and how homeopathic remedies work.

Last year we missed it and ended up with the 24 hour bug. Me on Christmas eve as we were driving several hours to NY and my husband on Christmas day.
This year we stocked up on it. Origionally you should take it without food in your stomach in the morning...but make sure you don't even brush your teeth yet. Toothpaste will hinder its effects as well.
It's good to start taking this BEFORE you get the bug...I would say once a day for a week in the flu season (to boost your immune system) then upon signs of the sickness.
Also I recommend 1000mg of Vitamin C once in the morning and once in the evening. A zinc lozenge once a day, and Echinacea Tincture (liquid form) two drops in tea once in the morning, once in the evening for Immune boosting.
Usually doing all these together, you'll be rid of the cold or flu within a couple of days.
Remember to keep hydrated with water and see your dr.
