Our featured blogger this week isn't too far from my neck of the woods - Hohenwald, TN! Shannon and her family have had a great adventure setting up their homestead. They started out just going back and forth from their home and camping on the property while they worked on it. They located the springs and then decided where to situate their house based on where they could use solar panels.
In her Blog Full of Frogs entry, you can read about how they wash their dishes without running water, use a sawdust toilet, battle mice, and set up their chuckwagon. And her husband, Alex, blogs about the goings-on as well. Wow, he sounds like a hard worker! And they have a growing menagerie of animals joining them on their homestead and a baby of their own on the way!
