Sorry for my being MIA...lots of family things going on. Mom's been down and I have run out of day before I run out of work for the past several weeks. Things are looking up though!! Glad to be back...hope this is something you can use!We all know our hair gets treated harshly in the Summertime...even if it is just exposed to the sun more than usual. Many of us swim in pools, wash our hair more often and therefore there is the possiblity of build up in our hair. Here are a rinse recipe to help you get residue out of your hair and leave it feeling and looking shiny and new!!!
Gee My Hair is Shiny Rinse
› 1 pint white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
› 1 pint boiled, distilled or spring water
› 25 drops rosemary/rosewood e.o. (for dark hair) or chamomile (for light hair) OR pour your boiling water over dried herbs, steep like tea and strain. Let your water cool some.
Mix ingredients well in a spray-top bottle or it can be poured over hair. Use about a cup for longer hair. This recipe makes enough to rinse short hair many times. The recipe has a strong concentration of vinegar, but since the rinse is washed out of the hair and the scent of the vinegar quickly vanishes, you won't smell like a pickle. Massage well into the hair and wash it out quickly with tepid to cool water. Always rinse your hair with the coolest water you can tolerate. The rinse removes calcium and soap residue, activates and stimulates the scalp, and is suitable for oily hair, dandruff, and itching of the scalp. If the itching is very intense, you may add peppermint e.o. to either of these rinses.
