One - June 21st has come and gone; it's Summer, and the Monarchs have pretty much finished their migration. How about you? Any travel plans? ...or are you staying "safe and sane" on the 4th?
No need for us to travel on the 4th. We absolutely LOVE our local 4th of July celebration! Local groups playing music under the gazebo, playground for the kids, picnics/watermelon, rides on the haywagon, a beautiful walking trail leading to the waterfalls & cave, horseshoes, softball games, trapshooting, a patriotic reading of the Declaration of Independence and then fireworks!
Two - What are you reading this Summer? Do you have any recommendations for the gang?
Well I have been reading the latest Beverly Lewis series - Annie's People. I've read The Preacher's Daughter and The Englisher and am eagerly awaiting The Brethren. And while I'm waiting for that last book, I started Clouds by Robin Jones Gunn. No hard-hitting
reading here, just some lite Christian fiction!
Three - As we do every so often: Have you found any free software or cool extensions lately to share with each other? Fonts? Butterflies?
Well the coolest free softward that I use is OpenOffice. It does just about everything that Microsoft Office ($90) does, for FREE. You can open Word or Excel documents and save your own work in those formats. I highly recommend it!
How about you? When you're ready, post your answers in your own space, and leave a comment here so we can find you!
