We have had some people ask if people are leaving in "droves". They wonder what is going on. And we appreciate you all asking because it shows you care.
The fact is though that while there will always be a certain amount of turnover with blogs, we've actually had a great week of new people signing up for blogs! HomesteadBlogger is a helpful, inclusive, friendly site for everyone from die-hard homesteaders to homestead wannabes. Homesteaders can be very independent individuals with strong opinions. We won't all agree on everything, but we need to respect other's rights to talk about what they want to on their blogs.
If someone does decide to leave, that's ok too. We wish them well. We will, however, delete any abandoned blogs so that the space is available for someone who plans to actively be a part of our community.
If you'd like to read the response's that
CountryLife got when she asked, "What's going on?", just click
here.
We so appreciate all of you being a part of our community at HomesteadBlogger. Thanks for caring. Hopefully this will address some of your questions and help stop the Rumor Mill. Now go invite some friends to join us..... we're going to have a contest for our 1000th blogger!

As someone who is not Christian I can understand why some are leaving.. its sad because this is a great site with wonderful info..
I myself have not had any trouble with people who are trying to convert me ..but I have had friends from HSB who have.. and that's sad.. because they where good people with a lot to share w/ the rest of the bloggers..
For myself I don't care if someone talks of their faith in their blog.. it doesn't bother me one bit.. its a good thing to have a good relationship w/ your God....
We all are lucky that we live in a country that gives us the right to to believe in who/what we want and not have fear of being harrased or worst. Our Founding Father's knew what happened when you mixed religion and goverment..
A person does not have to agree with another's faith but a person does have to let people be.. period.. and that goes for both sides of the fence ..
Does that make sense? I don't want to come over like I'm making trouble or pointing fingers.. in no way is that my intent..
We non Chirstians only ask is to not be proselytize too if we write on our blogs about our life and our faith.. thats it in a nutshell..
We would like to get along.. and learn from each other..w/out drama ..
All of could learn from each other if we all keep an open mind and heart..
HSB is a wonderful place to learn .. and to meet some really great people.. Christians and Non Christians .. and I don't think people are leaving in droves..
These boards ebb and flow like life itself..
I hope that helps to heal any rife that has been caused on both sides..
Blessings
