Dinner time can be hectic. There are times when I am just sitting down and everyone is almost done. However, when we don't have any place we have to be dinner is a special time. Instead of sitting down, as we do on days we are leaving promptly after dinner or when we have come home to a late dinner, I set candles on the table and light them. Don't wait for a special occaision. Light those candles for every meal that you can to make it extra special. When I place one candle on the table, it is placed infront of a specific place setting. That person leads the prayer and then tells us something about his/her day. Once he/she is finished they place the candle infront of the next person. We do this until eveyrone has had a turn to speak. There are meals when we are long done before everyone has had a turn, and those are my favorite meal times. Simple, yet wonderful.
These are my thoughts.
