Homemade salad dressings are not only delicious but are inexpensive, easy to make and free of chemicals and food additives.
Here are my favorite recipes:
Ranch Dressing
1 cup mayonnaise
½ c sour cream
½ cup milk, buttermilk is fine too
1 T lemon juice
1 t. onion powder
½ t. (slightly heaping) minced garlic, I buy the kind in the jar
2 t. parsley
dash dill weed
½ t. salt
½ t. seasoning salt
dash of pepper
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Allow to sit in fridge for a little while to thicken and allow flavors to blend.

Italian Dressing

1/8 t. minced garlic (I use the minced garlic in a jar)
¼ t. dried onion
¼ t. Italian seasoning
¼ t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1 t. cane juice crystals
Combine all ingredients in a canning jar with a screw top lid and shake well. Refrigerate a little while to let flavors blend. Shake again before serving.

1 cup light olive oil
1 ½ cups cane juice crystals
1 t minced garlic
1 T season salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix on medium until everything is completely combined. Store in a quart size canning jar and put in the fridge until ready to use.
