I'm so glad it still looks like winter around where I live in S.C. I love to look up at a blue sky this time of year and see tall trees in our woods not budding yet. I want to enjoy every minute I can because I know the heat is coming!! We've been busy with church stuff mostly. This is my first year being a Sunday School teacher!! I teach 4th and 5th graders. I'm learning so much about the Bible. I had a great Sunday School teacher when I was young and she is still living. Not to long ago, I was looking up churches that I have been apart of in my last 20 yrs. of marriage. I happen to find the church where my old Sunday School teacher goes and there are pictures of her on their website. I wonder if she will ever know how she impacted my life to live a life for the Lord!! Wonderful childhood memories.

Hi! I just saw your blog on the "front porch". I havent been a member very long, either. I've enjoyed reading your blogs and learning about you! I taught 4-5 grade sunday school for about 12 years at the church I grew up in. I now am the coordinator for the special needs program at my church and I am the sunday school teacher for it. I do remember alot from my 4-5th graders, though! It seemed like there was a WORLD of difference in the attention spans of 4th versus 5th graders! I remember a big relief once they all moved up a grade, only to inherit new 4th graders! LOL...I had discipline issues b/c I have a really UN-intimidating voice, so I found an assistant who had a very stearn voice and it made a HUGE difference in their behavior and participation. PLUS I always got to be the "nice" one. I now get wedding invites from these same "kids". It makes me feel so old, but I'm only 34! (I started out as an assistant when I was only about 13 years old and took the class at age 15)...I came to know the Lord at age 8, so I enjoyed sharing my life testimony w/kids near this age and I enjoyed being a part of getting them grounded in God's Word...ANYWAY, keep us posted on your progress w/your class!
