Tuesday, May 13, 2008~ Whats In Your Garden Shed?? ~ |

Every seasoned gardener will tell you that in order to make the most of your gardening dreams come true, that having a few garden essentials is the key to making those dreams a reality. Being a novice gardener myself I have compiled a list here of some of the very basic tools to have on hand to help cultivate that which we hope to have... beautiful flowers and succulent vegetables. Keeping in mind that when purchasing the tools that quality does matter!! Make sure when shopping that you take into consideration of the materials and construction of the items to that which they are made. If I could jump my soap box here for a moment, when buying your items try and support your country and buy items that are made there, you may just be saving a fellow friend from losing his job.
The Essential Garden Tools:
The Garden Spade
Long Handled -Round Headed Shovel
Garden Spade Fork
Garden Rake
Lawn Rake
Garden or Standard Hoe
Garden Cart or Wheel Barrow
Hand Cultivator
Trowel
Hand Sprayer
Tiller( Optional)
Pruning Shears
Nice Pair of Gloves: to protect your hands from blisters and splinters
and all sorts of pokey things

Okay, two things. First of all, where did you find that picture? That is about wonderful!
Also, I have a new garden tool that I'm not sure how I managed without. I have no idea what you call it, but it is a rake with only 4 prongs and they are real long. Oh my goodness, I'm going to wear the thing out this summer:-)
Enjoy your gardening,

I am appreciative of the challenge and other's who wish to focus on it as well! hugs hugs hugs, Sweetie |

| That is such a cute picture !! A nice tiller is a must around here . It saves your back . It can go places that a tractor can't go , with out tearing up the fence around the garden .Cheaper on gas ,too !! We do have a tractor to cut the fields ,etc. The next thing would be a lock on the door to keep the kids out !!! A radio is also nice for plundering around seeding and such . High Five to Ya, Shaune |
