Goats in the Smoky Mountains

My Day Today

{ 11:41, 2006-Apr-2 } { 11 comments } { Link }
Today I went to my Auntie's house. My auntie has chickens and wants goats. The chickens' names are Curly and Rosie. Rosie laid two eggs. They were small. They have very good fishing over there as well. My cousin Emmiko caught eight fish so far. Ryann my cousin caught three bluegills.

Today, my uncle did something very special. He took me out for a boat ride on their pond. He let me row the boat by myself. It was not easy. While I was rowing the boat, my brothers would try to catch on so that they could pull me back to shore. It did not work. It was a fun game. I got away really easily. I had very much fun over there. And my aunt's family have a big field which will be used for planting crops. They are planting watermelon and they have lots of pumpkins. I am planting corn and cucumbers and cantaloupe. Dippy my cousin is planting carrots. My aunt has all these cups full of seeds but I do not know what she is planting. I guess I'll have to find out later.

Once we left my aunt's house, it started to rain and it really got stormy. The lightening was scary. But soon we got home. Then, the rain stopped. I had a very fun day.

Love,
Julie

Julie~

Sounds like you had a wonderful day! Auntee & Uncles sounds like great fun, how neat to be planting all those seeds!
Rowing is hard, but sounds like you all made a fun game of it! Today my girls got to learn to ride the riding lawnmower on their own--they had fun with it.

Enjoy your week, sweetie!

Sounds Like Grandpa Needs to Visit

Hey, sounds like you're having a lot of fun. If I come and visit, do you think I could go fishing and get out in the boat? (And I don't mean out OF the boat). Here in Alaska the lake outside my is still totally frozen and people are still driving their cars on the lake. Yesterday we had a big snow. I'm ready to get a little heat and see water again (not ice). Love you, GRANDpa

Hey There - you'll have to let me know how your aunt's pumpkins are doing - ours are suffering terribly from all the extreme 90 degree heat we're having down here in Georgia! I know you and your brothers and all your cousins are having a great time these days!

Take care and have a great summer!

I left a comment on your Mom's blog, and I decided to look up your name on her sidebar, because I don't think I have ever read it before. When I saw you liked goats, I thought I would come over and see your blog.
We like goats too. I am in the middle of preparing a Unit study on Goats, so we can all become more familiar with them.
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Dixon, Mom to 3 HSB1 bloggers!
