And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Grow your own avocados ... in the house!!
Posted on March 2, 2006 at 08:59 in Rambling Thoughts
Jenig asked me if I can grow avocados here in Arizona. I have thought about trying but had “heard” that they do not do well here. I decided to do some research and see if it is possible. Unfortunately I heard right. Regular avocado trees do not grow well here … outside, that is! I found a website that sells dwarf avocado trees that can be grown inside as a houseplant ... just about anywhere. They will even fruit inside the house. Depending on your area they can be moved outside for part of the year. I have a lovely little bay window sitting area in my kitchen that is just screaming for it’s very own avocado tree!! I just need to ask my sweet husband. Here is the link:

Now, I have 'heard' that dwarf trees don't work as well as normal ones. So if you get one and it works, please let us know. Some people say you can grow normal sized trees inside and just prune them carefully.

Hi Rachelle,
thank you for posting on my blog, I went to the site you told me about homeschooling in France. I understand why I didn't know about it, 500 homeschooling families in a country of 62 millions people is very few !!
I know about correspondance classes, because they are used by families with disabled children or children with socialization problem, but they are managed by the national education departement, they are a part of the system.
