Dear Friends - Just Sharing

Well, as the sun is rising, I am reading through blogs and being inspired by my fellow sisters.  I sometimes feel guilty blogging but then I feel led.  It feels good to be inspired to be a keeper of my home.  My husband and my son are off to a men's breakfast at our church.  The speaker is our own Lincoln Brewster.  Have you heard him?  He is awesome and his story is incredible.  I had the opportunity last year to have dinner with him and hear first hand his testimony.

I have had a busy week and not sure how much "school" we have gotten done.  I read ladies blogs and I am reminded that I am actually training my children and so the baking, cleaning up, digging trenches (with a trencher - we are putting in drip lines for trees), etc is important and the attitude with which we train our kids is important!

The flu has been going around out here but we have been blessed and have not been hit hard until the other day.  We went ot a "social" for one homeschool group I belong to... we don't normally go to this group... anyway, towards the end, one of the lead moms comes and tells me how her son the day before was still very sick and running fever but was so happy cause he was doing better that morning... my son was hanging out with him for 2 hours - you guessed it - my son woke up the next day SOOOOO sick.  LAdies - please keep your kids home at least 24 hours AFTER they are doing better it is only fair to everyone - sorry, venting :)

I need to go plan my menu for the next two weeks, shop... I have been trying to use cash for groceries and hope in the future to be able to have all those thrifty meals planned! My youngest brother (well he is a twin) is in twon from NJ for a day and we are going to go visit him at my other brothers.  (I am the oldest of 6 - no sisters:)  I am so excited to see him - we have not seen each other in 3 years....

Well, just rambling.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,

Flossie

PS Thankyou for all the great recipes everyone posts - my family has been loving - it definitely has gotten me out of a rut!

Thanks for sharing your "ramblings"....I'm not sure if this is the right comment for the right post...I couldn't find the "comment" for the latest post....anyway, I love reading about fellow bloggers days...

You are right about keeping kids home for 24 hours or more....Yuk!

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your brother....I hope to get a visit from one of my brothers whom I have not seen since 2003...he is hoping to come to our daughters wedding in June....reunions aren't they great....and won't the reunion in heaven be amazing?

Have a blessed weekend.
