I am continuously reminded of the spiritual warfare around us. I sat here typing and when I went to save it was gone!
I am running around trying to get my children ready for their National Geography Bee contest. It has been a lot of fun getting them prepared and as always, I learn a lot in the process. What a beautiful and magnificent world our God has made! I love how He orchestrates all for His honor and glory.
I wake each day wanting to please and serve. Often I feel less than worthy and then He gently reminds me that He is teaching me something. I began a new book last night - "Praying the Names of God" by Ann Spangler. It is a devotional to be started at the beginning of the week... yes, I know but this is how I begin things :)
Elohim - God the Creator. That is the name for the week. I read that and thought how fitting as we have been trying to study His world for the past two months. How I could tie this all up for my children. As I read a few more pages, He smacked me in the head as usual. (I ask Him to talk loud because I don't want to miss anything:) I read these words "How would your life change if you lived in the constant awareness that He created you to bear His image?" Wow! I bear His image. I am to be a reflection ALWAYS!!! It isn't just when the light hits me but I am his image even in the dark when no one sees. It makes me think that slowing down to be the best is important.... More thoughts later. I need to get breakfast on the tableand off to the contest! Pray for Justin and Jessica as they bring forth that which they have learned.
