Moving Day on the Homestead

Well, the wheat's still green, but during the last two weeks, two wonderful things have happened!
1) We have POWER, as in electricity (pictures coming later, when DH returns to the West Side).

2) We moved the storage shed from its home above (where the pole barn is going to go) down below, next to the cabin, so it can be a garden shed in the future. It took all day. We had to find and trim 4 logs to use as rollers under the shed. Then DH used the tractor to both pull it gently down the slope and also to keep gravity from moving it too quickly. Here's a picture of it half-way down:

Electricity, wow, that is great. It seems like things are moving right along for you up there. I pray that it all continues to go well. :)

I love your A Frame house! We use to go to a lake when I was a kid that had an A Frame cabin. Very cool to be in the loft.

Wow, I love your place. Good luck with your wheat -- I need to check our region to see if growing it here is a possibility, as I make our own bread, etc. Bravo on moving the shed -- how many feet did it have to move?

Well, now it's official--I am a slacker. You are one amazing woman. "We cut and trimmed four roller logs--" "We grow wheat"-- "...down the slope... (which you must have made yourserlves)". Yesterday I washed my bedding and weeded out front. :-)

Wow, how exciting !!! There ALWAYS seems to be projects to do on a homestead. Isn't there ??? [0; I am sooooooo glad I am blogging. I love sharing what we are up to here on our homestead and homeschool. Ohhh btw we are at 2100 feet elevation. ( give or take )

There was a second video but for some reason I couldn't get it to load onto You Tube. I think the next time I will load to God Tube. [0= I am REALLY looking forward to hearing more and more on your journey on your homestead. OHHHH CONGRATS on electricity !!! That is BIG. (((happy dance)) for you.

Now that is nice looking "shed." Made me feel funny seeing that hole right next to it, though. Made for a fun entertaining day, I'm sure.....
