Update on Us: Oct 9th 2008

Well here I am going on my second week in AL, I never even thought I would get here to visit my daughter, much less be here this long.
Mark is in NY getting out stuff and bringing it back to Linden this week coming up and then coming down to get the children and I and take us home so to say to Linden. We are staying out on Old Hwy 13 in our RV while we wait for the house we want to rent for the winter to become available. Mr. Sam and his wife Daine are nice christian folks and rent us the space next to his matianance mans place and I can keep my goats there with me too. They homeschool and just are the sweetest folks to us. The Lord was good to lead us to meet them and them let us stay there till we get a real home for the winter. ( Lady who is to be our landlord had to evict the lady who lives there out for non payment, so we had to wait a month or so longer to get the home. Should be Nov 2nd or 12th , time will tell.) Lordwilling we will be living in Lobelville in a nice Doublewide with a wood burning fireplace in the Livingroom, Screen Porch on the one end and porches front and back, very private area also.
Living in the RV for 9 weeks, wasnt what we had planned but the Lord provided it and so we are using it as our home till he gives us another one. Being down here without Mark arround is not an exsperience I enjoy. Things with my own daughter are far different then the way we live or what we desire for our own children. My granddaughters go to Head Start Daily and other things just sorta get to me, but I am biding my time till we go home. My own children miss having a home to live in, the adventure at times has been fun, but at times very trying on us.
The goats are living in the stock trailer and I have no fence for them and of all things were in Town. The trains at night are too many and too noisey that is for sure, traffic is alot here too near 78. If I had a way to get back to Linden, I would go now. Small town living in the country is more my speed that is for sure. The goats are doing well. Magnolia kidded with triplet purebred 6th gen mini nubian babies, 2 bucks and 1 doe. I only have their dam and a non related buck now. My buck won 1st place in intermediate bucks on MDGAs Virtual show online, so I am pleased with him and my new kids too. Only thing is Mark would rather I sold them and that we didnt have animals till we have our own land. I am a bit heartbroken over that but I am not arguing. They should be in a barn and on pasture and not in town ! I did sell two to a lady in TN up in Cunningham, she is so pleased with them and I am so happy to have her have them on her farm.
Please pray for Marks traveling mercies and safe return with out things in the RV and in a trailer he is hauling. Pray it ,keeps running and brings him safely home.
Also pray for us , we need a vechile that our family can drive to the store and such after we get settled or before, have not found one yet. Truck or mini van or reg van would do, with towing capabilites. So we dont need to drive the RV everywhere we go.
I cannot wait to settle, get back to "normal life" baking , cooking , sewing, and spending time with my best friend and sweetheart.
Faith 6 and Hope 5 are so wanting a home. Daniel is 8 months old growing like a well fed calf and he just seems to be a happy baby. He wasnt too happy cutting teeth this week. He now has 4 , 2 top and 2 bottom.
Would you believe he just fits into 18 months clothing. He is tall and heavy.
Well I am tired and needing to get to bed. I hope all is well in your homes and I can't wait to meet those of you nearby home when I get there.
Debi, its near your not far away and thank you for letting me know what is up with in the neighbourhood.
Love and blessings to all

Update on Us
I wanted to come and let you all know that we are in Linden TN currently. We have been staying with friends till a home we saw will be available. At that time we will be living in Lobelville TN near the Russell Creek Mennonites and Amish. It is a nice small town as is Linden. We have gone to a few of the state parks and stayed overnight in our RV, its a lovely place to see and live.
Magnolia is due to kid Sept 20th and I am waiting as these are our first purebred Mini Nubians. I brought 4 goats here with me to TN and Reuben my 2nd gen buck took First Place in the MDGA Virtual show online this past week, so I am well pleased with my goats.
Prayers appreciated and I can be reached by email at faithfulacres@yahoo.com
Blessings

Farmsitting in Gainesboro TN and Update on Us

We arrived here after dark on Monday August 4th, we pretty much drove straight through with Mark doing all the driving of our RV with the Horse trailer on the back. We had our tiny mishaps but we are here and well, as are the goats.
I can say one thing for TN, there isn't anything flat about this state at all and it is beautiful with its mountains and
deep revenes with rivers and creeks running through them. I think so far I love TN and only pray that Yeshua allows the
brakes to hold up on the RV and that we can find a home to call our own in the near future. We are farmsitting for
a family that has made a long trip to Isreal for 3 months. Please pray for the Varelas , Emily is due to have a baby
in Oct arround the 21st while there. This will be 8 children for them. We are farmsitting till they return arround Nov 4th and
then we are planning to move to Perry County TN near to some friends there. Here we are caring for 33 goats, mostly of the boer cross and one Sannan doe. 12 yearling cattle , 20 something chickens, 6 Ginny Hens, 2 Great Pyrenese LGD's, one Benji type Mutt and 4 cats and 4 kittens. (Plus my own 4 goats I brought with me) Making the trip with me are
Magnolia ( who is due in Sept) Manessah my doe from Magnolia, who will be due in Dec., Levi my buck from Magnolia and Rueben my non related line buck sire and dam were from WI. All made a good trip and no one stressed at all.
I think the only thing I won't be able to get use to here in the South is Cock Roaches, any hints tips on riding the house of them would be appreaciated greatly.... We are using Boric Acid and Combat Roach Gel thus far.
Blessings

Update on Us, Open Letter and a Thank You...

I know that it has been months since I really wrote on my blog to let you all know what is happening in our lives here. I was and am so grateful to my many good friends on here who sent clothing for Daniel before he was born and who have prayed for us faithfully. God is faithful ! So much has happened since Daniel was born, some very good , some troubling and not all that great, but still the Lord will continue to provide for our needs here. Some of you know that Mark and I married in 2001 and that I have older children, Amanda 25, Brittany 21, Wesley 18, Michael 15. In April due to Brittanys claims my older children all moved back to NH to be near Brittany and help her with getting her son Issac back and I will be bluntly honest here, she had left NY and gone to live with a friends mom, so we were told. She had plans to supposidly go into the service (which I am not a supporter of for ovious reasons, she is a young woman and a mamma too). Well she called claiming that this lady was stealing her son... far from the truth... She had signed over guardianship of Issac to this couple we learned. Well other lies were told and we learned the truth. Pray for her ok , she has issues to deal with and needs to learn from her mistakes. My grandson is healthy, well cared for and a delight to all who know and love him. I wish I had a recent picture to post here. Pray for his young life and for his future.
Suffice it to say there has been much that I would rather not had to deal with. The lies, the deciet, the whole sorted story, but as the bible says, you will reap what you sew. My son's left us to go to NH in rebellion, lacking true obedience and this troubled me but they are learning, least Wesley is from this who thing. In just a few short months Amanda has gotten herself a job, an appartment and her girls are in daycare currently while she works to provide them a home. She has found a good church and made friends.
She pays her own way and works hard to do it. (not to sounds like i am on one side, but this is more then my 21 year old has done since December when she ran from NY state and CPS. ) I was angry with her for months, part of me is still upset over the lies told and the things done to get her own selfish way. But perhaps the Lord has used it all to protect Issac from any harm.
Publically, I want to thank Christine and Mike for caring for Issac, he is well cared for , fed and clothed and growing up healthy and it is Christine that most likely rocks my grandson to sleep each night and wakes to his cries , when I wasn't allowed to do so myself when Brittany fled NY. I am grateful for the Lord making sure that Issac is a happy healthy baby.
I am grateful for the thousands of dollars this couple has spent to care for my grandson, for the trials they have endured to make sure he was safe and well. For the compassion you have shown to my other children, Amanda, Wesley and Michael after they moved there and for your letting them see
Issac, even on days Brittany didnt have visitation. For your kindness to offer them advantages in many areas, even if they haven't taken them at times. I know that Amanda and Wesley are grateful for your kindness.
You know you cannot always make kids listen to what you know is right, but
we can all pray and the Lord will move in the lives of children who are not totally obedient to parents. Some will suffer from what they have done and reap what they sew and the others will take heed to what was said and do right. I am not sure how else to Thank You enough for all you have done.
As for my ex husband, someday you will see the truth and someday you will stand as all of us before the Lord and all will be known, you will know who has used you and who your true daughter was and is.... You will know that the truth is like you saw it for a short time. And I am so sorry for all the hurt that Brittany has caused in your heart, but she has only done what you allowed her to do and been the spoiled child you made her to be. You only listen to me when its to your advantage it seems, but I haven't lied to you when it came to our daughter. Does that mean I don't love her ? No , I love her, but I know that God will deal with her on his terms and in his way and I pray for her but she has to fall on her face before him first. Self is a horrible religion. You and Brittany have issues to deal with that no drink or drug or anything will heal without the Lord. But here in I can only pray for you both. I think you need to rebuild the bridges you are burning...
Well, not having Michael here with us meant being 1200.00 less in income to the household, but I can sure tell you it meant more peace here and it has meant freedom from being under the thumb of or eye of my ex husband.
You know, I love Michael with all my heart, but he too is rebellious with his mouth and actions to me when here and I wouldn't tolerate this with my little ones learning fast the ways he was exhibiting. So at 15 , he is on his own at your house, truely on his own due to his selfish pride and rebellion.
Love doesn't mean being threatened or having your stuff broken or putting up with kids threatening to hit you.. laughing at your when you tell them they are wrong for being sinful.
Wes, all can say is " don't kick anything harder then your foot " Just get rid of what has offended you, well it is true that children shouldn't rebuke parents, often what you say has truth to it and parents can listen and learn from children. I am just glad I wasn't there to deal with your father, cause I would have probably done to him what he did to me for years and
took retribution for your sister Amandas honor. Always stand on the side of truth cause the Lord will be there to protect you from those who are doing the evil...
So where are we now.... Poorer but better off. We still have our home here in Red Creek, have food for now and bills are currently paid up. I have lost the trailer, am loosing the house in Canastota, but somehow there is peace in all of it. Mark started a parttime job at McDs and we'll get less or no food stamps if he is able to work the job in the heat, not good with his meds and risk of heatstroke. Prayer appreciated for his health while at work.
I have sold goats to have money for food, bills ect, putting most of it into those things and not into goats or feed. But the Lord has provided for the goats left here for me to have on the farm and our chickens. I switched to a lesser cost feed and got some hay in for them to last till hay is cut here this year. I will be cutting back on things I own to simplify our lives and we have moved the children and us downstairs, so as not to have to heat the upstairs this coming winter as propane was outragious, what was normally 2800 for the winter was 3900.00 so I am still paying 1100.00 over the summer for heat we used in winter, due to the high cost of it. Gas here is 4.09 per gallon for reg unleaded and Milk is about the same.
Not sure what that says for this country or the billions we spend on war.
Only the Lord knows where it is all going and where it will end....
As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord , not the god of stuff, the god of self or the god of war. Thousands are starving, dying and in need of a saviour... well we call killing others humane and the right thing to do.
True Freedom is in the Lord, comes from him and only him, not from fighting a war and " winning" . We have won nothing , when our borders are open to those who would come and do more killing and the standard of life and living goes down , not up... IMHO, this nation will not prosper, we are going the wrong way currently... Lord help us to see truth in what is happening...
Oh well for what is it is worth , that is my opinion, maybe not well liked one but hey freedom of speech is still that here in the US.
Saddened by alot of things, but Thankful for so much more

Still able to get Hay, for now... certified organic hay
Well I feel blessed that this year we found a couple not too far away, actually closer to Toni's house then my own, but we both got some very nice hay from Bella and Ted. They raise certified organic Herford and Angus Beef cattle and she also raises white tailed deer and has a totally white deer that is not albino at all...so totally awesome. A fox got her chickens recently, so she has one left and needs to get more sometime.
They are delivering another 40 bales of hay to me tonight, praying it doesn't rain, but boy it looks like it will.

Bandit
Well speaking of new additions to the family, before I forget... Bandit came to live here Sunday May 25th on my 44th bday. He is a black lab puppy, he is 5 months old, fixed and has all his shots, he came with a crate he is trained to and all the needed things for a puppy. We adopted him from a lady not far away as she was going back to work and had not enough time to devote to the dog with 3 children and working outside the home.

Love and Prayers for Marilyn
As most of you I was quite taken by shock that Marilyn's Dear Husband had passed on.
I wish to exspress my sincere love and hugs and prayers for her and her family during this
time of change in their own lives. The Lord be with you, make his face to shine upon you and
give you peace and comfort today and in the days to come. I will as you said never take a day for
granted. My own DH has a blood disorder ITP, He is mentally ill and has Asthma and an enlarged left ventrical wall of his heart. I am not sure what I would do without him arround. He is in college right now and it is hard to
not have him here physically , it is another one of those changes we are going through. He is having a hard time
of it as the reading is hard on his eyes, even with new glasses. So , I try to help where I can and will never assume that tomorrow he will be here with me.
Reminds me of a country song, " If tomorrow never comes" I surely know that Mark loves me, I just need to focus on that during the harder times of life and Let the Lord handle the rest.
Love to you Marilyn

Changes

-
Well as of this weekend coming up, my Oldest Daughter, Two Granddaughters and my two oldest sons, will be moving to NH to live with or near their dads. This for the first time in 7 years leaves Mark and I with only our own children at home. This is a good thing given the issues we were having with the boys. I also learned that my daughter in NH is exspecting a baby in Sept.
-
My children are Amanda 25, Brittany 21, Wesley 18, Michael 15 who will be in NH now.
-
At Home are Faith 6 in Aug, Hope 5 in Oct and Daniel who is now just over 2 months old.
-
(who is wearing 6-9 months size clothing already, he is a big baby boy !)
-
Does anyone have any clothing in Daniels size or larger sizes ? I could use sleepers and Onsies and outfits. Also a spring/summer jacket. Anything would be a blessing.
-
I am asking due to our income household wise going down by 1200.00 a month with no child support coming in for the boys.
-
I am still waiting on Angelina to kid, she is the only one left to kid still. I have sold several of my goats
-
Melani with a buck kid, Cowkid, Francis and Judah have all been sold. Daniel buck goat is also sold to a lady in PA. I have still here on our homestead Magnolia with two of her kids Levi a buck and Manessah a doe. Lucien Breeder buck and his buckling son Rueben. Joyful Spirit came back to live with us as she was malnurished and in need of individual attention and feedings, she is getting better daily. Well Angelina
-
will kid soon and we are praying for does. In a month I was able to bring in 600.00 by selling goats, another 100 when Daniel is picked up. So bills got paid and food purchased for us in the coming week or so.
-
I am saving eggs for a friend who lets teachers at the public school hatch them and then she will bring me back the buff chicks to raise for egg layers, this will work out quite nicely for me.
-
Prayers appreciated.

Sweet Country Sisters and Fat Quarter Swap
Ladies, due to my MIL dying of Chrosis , she is not doing well and we don't know how long she has left, I am going to put this off for a few weeks. I will keep all your info and let you know when I can do this ok. With this and Daniel and my home to tend to I feel a need to wait on this for now. Prayer for Mark as he is doing college, working a job, trying to help her, has been staying with her and caring for her, being this is his mom, it is hard on him. We are praying that he will be home again soon and I would love your prayers for his return to our family soon. The children and I really miss and need him.

Well we lost a doe also , floppy kid syndrome we think.
I would ask for prayers for FA Little Cherub and her dam Cowkid, both are not well, suffering as we believe Cowkid has a calcium deficency and from what we have read that leads to what Vets are diagnosing as Ketosis but that is a side effect of the lack of calcium. Both are weak and Toni has them both at her place and is caring for them as with the new baby I just cannot devote as much time to their care as she is able to do. Prayers for their recovery and healing are needed.
This all so troubles my heart. As I now wonder if this is what took Graces life last year also.

Triplets again !!!! but we lost the little buck as his dam laid on him.
Cowkid finally had her kids yesterday at 2 pm. She had triplets..... Once again Toni was here to help us.
Thanks Toni for saving Cowkids life and the life of her kids. She had a buck who was on the large size and was
stuck. Thank the Lord Toni got him freed up and out. The first doe was mixed up too and her legs were not to the front and so again Toni had to reach in and straighten out the kids and pull her out too. The last doe came out on her own Thank the Lord. As Toni said while doing this, what is this, no one sent directions to the party !!! I have two sweet does out there
one is white with black and a small amount of brown on her and a brown kid with a white heart on her shoulders.
We lost the buckling today as Cowkid accidently laid on him and my son Wes 18 found him out there not breathing but it was too late to do anything for him. We are thankful for the doelings as we needed more this year. I will try to post pictures of all the kids here Lordwilling in the very near future.
Blessings

Keepers At Home Magazine ( Amish ) Sugarcreek Ohio
I have the following issues for sale at $4.00 per issue, does not include shipping. I am selling these issues that I believe date back to the start of Keepers At Home Mag. I would like to copy some info from them for my own use before mailing them out to whomever buys them. This price will stay in effect until the end of this month, at that time I will be raising the prices on them to $5.00 dollars per issue for in March as they are collectors editions of the Magazine. I have seen them sell for as much as $9.00 each on ebay. Anyone wishing to get them as a set may email me requesting a special price for all of them. They are a great resource to the Keeper at Home. I am just making room for things I truely want to get now that are new for us and need to sell something to do that, so this is your chance.

He is my Joy !!!!
I bet you thought this post was about Daniel or Jesus right ? Well it is about both.
What greater joy could I have right now , then to look at the sweet smiling face of my dear new son Daniel
and know that Jesus is the true Joy giver in all of this...What peace and joy it gives me to know that He is the
life giver and the true peace we have is in Him.
But also how blessed I feel each day holding Daniel and seeing his sweet smile when awake or when asleep.
What tickles me even more is to hear his soft baby giggles when he is sleeping and see him smile. What is it
babies dream about, other then Mamma's milkies and cuddles, only the Lord Jesus knows that for sure. I can
only imagine that he gives them sweet dreams of many things that perhaps they may not have exsperienced
in life yet or maybe it is more blessed dreams of heavenly things. Whatever it is it truely touches me deeply to
know that there is peace in his little heart.
He is today 2 weeks and 2 days old and already I have had him smile at me totally awake and it just melts my
heart inside.
Yes he is beautiful, handsome and oh so cute !!!
Thank each of you for your kind words.
Love
Linda
