Babies Galore

Posted in On The Farm

My son and I went to the local place that had baby chicks come in on Monday. I wanted to stop yesterday since I was in town to know what I wanted this weekend.....lol.

They are Soooooooooooooo cute.

They had the Ameraucana's which I had wanted. I'm thinking of getting 3 of those. They have the Feather Feet ones. I can't remember they actual name, I think its Brahmas ~ 3 of those. And lastly they had some with the puff tops of heads. They aren't Sultans that I had wanted. And I can't remember what they are now. But we want 3 of those as well.

I had planned on only 10 birds total. But as you can see with my Chickens that's 9 already. And we still want to get 4 ducks.

They had 2 Geese there and they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!. So I might get one of those too. Not all this weekend. I'm going to go for the Chickens this weekend if we can swing it. Then get the ducks/geese later. Like the week after.

I'd love Sultans but only wanted 2 and of course I can't order them because the Hatcheries online want you to order 25 chicks at once of any combination....lol. Not happening this year.

They should put warning signs up in those places. L&M have their chicks in now too. I haven't been there just because I know how suseptible I am to chick fever.

We had...oh, might have been called Turkens??...one year with the feathered pouf on their heads. Funny little things!
Right now we have Buff Orpingtons, and will be hatching out a group from a friend...no idea what all is in that batch...and some ducks as well.

That's neat about the hatching. I hope you share about it in your blog. I'd like to read about it all
