For anyone that lives in Minnesota like me can understand this. As a child I remember things being much colder, granted its not like I'm old, I'm only 30 but still. I don't remember summer's being really hot...lol. Then since I had my son and even a little before, summer's just got hotter here in Minnesota. Most people classify living in MN with really cold weather. And yes we can and have had our share of it, but the reality is the past few winters have been much better then when I was a kids as well. I remember one winter, looking out across the yard to the barn, and seeing my mom's tracks from when she went out to milk the cows that morning. There was 3-4 foot snow drifts in the yard. Mom had also shovled a path to the bus stop which also doibled as the same path to the wood shed. Nothing like walking down a path that's almost as tall as you are. My husband and I have told our son over and over again that he's seen nothing for winters. But of course then the whole discussion gets redone, with several questions. A curious child we have.....lol. Anyway two days ago we had 2mornings in a row of frosty mornings. Which isn't really surprising but of course I had just put out flowers. Our perennials are fine, (the ones I shared photos of a few posts back) but my annuals are toast. GRRRRRRR. They weren't really expensive but I really liked the ones I had. So I need to buy them again. And pay attention to the weather report. Although watching the weather doesn't always help either as its for the cities which is a couple hours south of us......lol. Like this morning the weather man said it was muggy outside. Well thank goodness not here. Its nice and breezy out, just a slight breeze but its wonderful. Its around 65 degrees, which is just comfy. Especially after yesterdays 86. We are going camping this weekend and the weather is supposed to be high 80's OYE lucky us....lol
