• Sunday, February 3, 2008 - My First Horse Fall
| Today (Feb. 3rd) I was riding our family horse, who is not yet broken, bare-back. My dad was trying to get him to run a little. So he started in a trot. Then started to gallop, he kicked his hind legs in the air and I went sailing! We were running down a rocky hill but it's a good thing I fell in the ditch on the side of it. The ditch was full with dirt and snow, so I'm O.K! My mom said I might be sore tomorrow, though. And My dad said that since he's young he'll sense if I'm afraid or nervous and might kick again. So I'm going back on tomorrow! I'm a little nervous, but I'm going to try anyway. My dad's not going to try to make him run with anybody on him anymore. But thank God I landed safely!! |

• Saturday, November 24, 2007 - P.U!
| Yesterday (November 23rd) we went to this one place to chop some fire wood. We brought our dogs, Buddy and Max. Max went into a pile of wood near where my dad was chopping wood. We were climbing on the pile of wood too. "Dad! Max is stuck!" so we thought....When my dad saw him he said Max wasn't stuck. Later on I climbed into where Max was barking. Then I said "I know what he's barking at! It's a bunny!" so I thought......Then I wanted a closer look! So I climbed deeper into the pile of wood. Then I saw it wasn't a bunny at all! It was a skunk! "It's not a bunny! It's a skunk!" I yelled, trying to get out of the pile when BLAST! it smelled awful! Fortunately none of the humans got sprayed! The dogs did though.....They still smell today! So my dad is going to bathe them in tomato juice. |

• Monday, September 24, 2007 - The Attack!
This morning was a scary morning. Our house is partly built so we don't have much space to sleep. Then finally we put up a bed in our foyer. Me and my sister slept in that bed because it was pretty big. Then early this morning (Sept-24-07) I heard a strange noise. I awoke and I was standing straight up like I just had a bad dream. It sounded like a cat, but more awful then a cat's sweet "Meow" we have five cute kittens. Then the noise just kept on goin' I jumped out of my bed and ran outside. I didn't see anything but the noise was much louder. So I ran to the back steps and there it was! A huge, light brown, gray and black cat. In was very scrawny but very big. It was attacking my sweet kitten. Chewing on her chest like it was trying to eat her. "Get!" I yelled. But nothing happened. Then I heard a "Go away!" it was my little 4 year old brother through the window. He was inside the house yelling at the cat. But even though he was right behind me it was a very faint noise. "Get!" I yelled again. Then they both stopped and four huge cat eyes starred into mine. Then the big evil cat ran to where I couldn't see him/her. Then out of nowhere he/she ran straight for my little kitten. I started running to stop the cat, but it was to late. He/she hit her down right in the middle of her face. The little kitten flew back about two feet. Then hit small black round metal thing. She just lay there while I chased the cat away into the woods. Then when he/she was out of site I went back. I saw her just sitting waiting for me. "It's ok. I won't hurt you." I said as I slowly walked up to the kitten. He back was arched and the fur on her back was sticking straight up. I picked her up and stroked her back. She was bleeding on her chin and under her paw and on her shoulder. Then later she was as jumpy as a jack rabbit with springs! |

• Friday, September 21, 2007 - The Project
| Today, Sept-21-07, my sister and I found something in the dirt patch near our house. (It's on our property.) It was a little patch of grass. So I thought maybe I could make it grow. So the I used a hoe and hoed the the dirt around it. Then I put some water and did it again. Then I put roots of nice flowers near the grass. The reason I'm doing this is because I want to get a cow sooner than my mom said we would have to. It's because we needed my dad to plant grass. So I just said I might as well try. So I was to see if the grass increases on it's size. So I'm taking pictures of it every week to see if it's bigger than before. |

| Hey y'all! I'm new here but I think I can get used to where everything is. But I've just made a name today (September 15th 2007) Because my mom said I could. I hope I can make new friends and get to know everybody. |
