Today it is raining and so peaceful here! I love this kind of weather. I wanted to say thanks to all the women who welcomed me here! Today we are going to get Lexi's cast off. YEAH!!! She broke her foot about a month ago and it's been driving her crazy. She is a very active girl and it's been tough keeping her down. We are also going to build a birdhouse. We have a Blue Jay that spends a lot of time in our yard so we researched the kind of home he would like and we are making it today! I take a photo and try to put it up tomorrow. I spent some time last night documenting all the things we have done latetly that can be counted as learning, and it is a lot!!! It seems like most things we do have some benefit towards the kids learning. Very exciting! We aren't required to keep records here in Utah, but I like to keep a log so that someday when college rolls around we have records of some kind.

I'm starting this blog in hopes of documenting my families adventures in urban homesteading and homeschooling. Today was a very slow day, we spent the day at home puttering around and doing nothing! It was great!!! Tomorrow it's back to the real world, but days like today are precious. |
