No School Again

Because of snow. We haven't gotten that much yet but I think its supposed to be worse later in the day.

 The boys and I are going to venture out in a bit, their Pop Pop's Birthday is today, Pop Pop is a " Grandfather" to the boys, actually he is just a really good friend of ours, his kids and I  went to school together and we are all really close so Pop Pop's and MeMaw's son's are "Uncle's" to our boys we are "Aunt and Uncle" to their kids as well. Its like having extended family that your not really related too but would like to be!! I think my boys are really lucky to have an extra Pop Pop and MeMaw and their 2 Uncles and a Aunt in their lives. Actually I think dh and I are pretty lucky to have them too!!

So right now my boys are making Pop Pop a birthday card to go along with the German Chocolate Cake that we made for him, we are going to drop it off at his work and then come back home and do some work in the house today.

Yesterday was productive a bit, I got laundry detergent made late yesterday and got 3 loads of laundry done before it got late, so today is more laundry. I also got one cupboard cleaned out and organized yesterday. Needless to say I have alot to do in the house today!!

Here is what our menu looks like this week

Sunday: We had porkchops, fried potatoes, corn and Cabbage
Monday: We had Soup and Sandwiches
Tuesday: We had Salmon, Baked Potato and Spinach

Today : We will have Cheese burgers and Fries
Thursday: Kielbasa, Baked Potato, Broccoli
Friday: Appetizer Night/ Movie Night

Saturday: My grandfather is coming from out of state to have lunch with us and do some shopping at a hunting store down here so we will have lunch out , Saturday night we are meeting dh's cousins who are also from out of state to take dh's gram out to dinner for her birthday, she turned 83 on the 2nd of March!! She will have all 4 grandchildren and all 9 great grandchildren to help her celebrate, both of her children are deceased.

Sunday is Fried Chicken Mashed potatoes with pan gravy, Green beans

As you can tell my menu this week is mostly meat and potatoes, dh picked this menu hisself, I was reminded by a friend yesterday that getting back to basics isn't a bad thing and its good on the ol' pocketbook too!!
