Round 3?

Ok so I am home with the children and we are preparing for round 3, our 3rd major snow storm.

The first storm brought us 20 couple inches, this past storm my husband said we had between 3 and 4 ft of snow, we also lost power for about 36hrs, now we prepare for round 3 which is to bring us another 1-2 ft of snow plus heavy winds, which of course could mean more loss of power for us.

Am I panicked? Nah, the only thing I am worried about right now is that dh went to work today and I just hope he makes it home before it gets too bad out there, as it is the main roads look pretty good but we live out off any main roads and they haven't been plowed yet, probably won't be for sometime.

As far as supplies go we are doing pretty good, we are ready, I need to make some fresh tea and I promised the boys we would make cupcakes today before the storm hit,I will get all those preps done early this day before  the storm hit and we have the chance to lose power,  but all in all we are ready.

I hope all those in the path of the storm are prepared and safe!!

Blessings!!

Dana

I have been listening to the news and I cannot believe the amount of snow you all are getting...the photos on the weather channel are incredible.

Stay warm and safe,

It does seem unreal to be getting this much snow doesn't it?
The snow doesn't bother me its the being without power that gets me down. We are well prepared though, we have a kerosene heater to keep us warm and we also have the grill and a camp stove to cook on so we are going to be fine.
They have already canceled schools for the rest of the week, not sure if its because they think the weather will be that bad or it might have something to do with them turning one of the middle schools into a storm shelter for those that lose power.
Either way I am glad not to have to worry about how bad the roads are and getting my son to the bus stop, at least this way we are all home, I think dh even may work from home if he can't get out. The kids and I are staying put!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
