Update on my Cousin

First let me say thank you to all that have been praying for my cousin and my family, I really do appreciate it.

As of a few days ago we were told that even with his eyes unopened he is responding to his mother that she was talking to him and he gave her the thumbs up. She asked him to open his eyes and to look at her, he did for a split second but then closed them again and they have remained closed.

I think yesterday they were taking him off the sedation to see if he would come around on his own.

So far since my first posting they had to put a tube in his skull to drain fluid off from around his brain, do a tracheotomy, and there was talk of taking out a piece of his skull on either side of his head to allow the brain to continue to swell but they have not had to do that thank goodness.

His brain has stopped swelling and he now has movement in his left side, so things are looking up. Thank god!!
