Everyone is thinking up new ways to save on elecctricity, grocery bills, etc. aren't they??? UGH!!!

I love the new window (FREE?? WOW) and the idea of the natural light in there. What a blessing....a free window and free labor from the hubby, too! LOL

We decided to recently invest in a midpriced ($100 or less) for a ceiling fan for the upstairs bedrooms. They get so stuffy, and to get them cool we have to really crank the air conditioning. So we hung a fan, and it really does help in keeping the air moving around up there so it doesn't feel so stuffy and stale.

Thanks for your kind remarks. Good luck with reducing your water/ electric bill. It can be frustrating, but I think we forget we can live on very little. We've just become so accustomed to the comforts we have.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed catching up on your blog this morning! The window project looks like a lot of fun. We're trying to cut our electric bill as well. Hi Sandra Wow what a great idea! Ive had the privelage to visit a home that had a skylight in the bathroom and it was so bright and cheery and it seemed a light switch was not used all that much. I always thought Id like to have that in my own home.
You made a comment on my blog about the leather cleaning recipee. Let me know how that works. Id love to know. I love the old simple recipee's and cleaning solutions.
