For Today...
Outside my window... is really bright sunshine - it has been above normal for the past few days - a little scary actually, because they say that abnormal weather can cause those nasty "E" things we get in California.
I am thinking... I sometimes wish I was still back in Pittsburgh area - While watching the Steelers game yesterday - there is just such togetherness in that city. And I read today that 144,000 people left the state of California last year alone. Although, at least I don't have to shovel snow.
I am thankful for... the time my niece and I are spending together every other Monday night. I take her to confirmation class at our church while I teach the Middle School classes. We always stop for something to eat beforehand - it is a nice time to bond.
From the kitchen... mmm. still thinking of last nights Salvadoran meat pies (pasteles)
I am wearing... Grey slacks and a purple blouse. I've given up wearing jeans except when I garden. Which means I have more ironing to do, but its worth it. I've decided that the purpose of jeans is only working hard - I'm even trying to get my husband to only use jeans for work and wear his khaki's when we go places.
More presentable.
I am reading... Tickle Your Soul: Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often by Sr. Anne Bryan Smollin.
I am hoping... for some more normal weather
I am creating... a family cookbook. A friend gave me a cookbook/photo album a few years ago and I'm putting my favorite family recipes in it along with pictures of us enjoying the recipes.
I am hearing... an old Sandi Patti tape I found while cleaning out a drawer in the den. Yes I said tape.
Around the house... spring cleaning early - I'm cleaning out every drawer and closet in the place.
One of my favorite things... The Steelers win over San Diego. Yippee!!!!
A few plans for the rest of the week... Continue cleaning out cupboards, make a list of garden needs, work in garden later in the week. And of course watch the Steelers game on Sunday.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
