Pumpkin Patch
It was a beautiful day at the pumpkin Patch, and I learned something new! Some of you might remember that I was whining about moldy pumpkins? Apparently, at this patch and others, they never water them after the first day they plant! Who Knew? Next year, I am going to try dry farming my pumpkins way off from everything else (they really take over a garden) and see what I get!

I love how they plant, leaving meandering paths among the pumpkins. There are many varieties to choose from.

My darling daughter entering the corn maze (Interesting - MY corn is only about three feet tall!). We like to get together with our good friends and go at night, when the moon is full. Then we go back to our house for hot cocoa, tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwhiches if it's not too late

The kids get one free pumpkin, as long as they can carry it by themselves. Neve decided this was just right because she could carry it in her pocket!(I wish my sunflowers were this big; mine are dwarfs and they are FINALLY starting to bloom...pictures, soon!)

OH how I wish we had pathes such as this around here. Our pumpkin patch is actually a church in town that sells them ever year at this time to raise money for the church. All the school kids get to go on buses and make a day of it. It is nice but yours is the real deal, and much nicer. I would love to bring my family to one like that.
Have a great day.
