Garden Log #2, formerly known as “Pumpkin Log”
To date, we have counted twenty-nine tiny pumpkins!
My daughter is the eagle eye who notices everything first! Yesterday, she was quite excited (She’s pretty laid back, so you have to know her well to see she was excited) to point out something new; in the center of several of our corn stalks there are these large “wheat looking” things…future corn, I hope? There are at least five of those.
My little tomatoes are growing and now there are sixteen (From what I’ve read on your blogs, most of you have many, many more, but remember this is a new experiment for me). What’s so neat about this, to me, is that these were “volunteers” from a friend’s garden and she sent them home with me. Amazingly enough, I managed to transplant them with out killing them!
The green beans are growing, but still small. I think our largest plant might be eight inches tall. Hmm. That gives me an idea; I will measure them once a week so I can chart their progress! LOL Thrills for you all, I am sure!
The sunflowers are about eighteen inches tall, so there is some growth there. I wonder if I will actually get to see a bloom before the season ends.
There you have the exciting development of Patti’s Garden.

I don't remember - do you have pole beans or bush beans?
