Thirteen on Thursday
13 things I like about where I live:
-
We live on a quiet cul de sac (I sometimes can forget we are right in town).
-
We have blackberries in our yard and I love to pick them.
-
Our cherry trees
-
Our wonderful neighbors (we actually know our neighbors!)
-
Being close to the ocean
-
Hummingbirds and butterflies in my garden
-
Hearing the foghorn in the bay on an overcast morning
-
Being able to leave our shoes on the porch and know they will be there in the morning.
-
Having big windows in every room of my house
-
Having two bathrooms
-
Having landlords that allow us to treat the home (most of the time) as if it were our own.
-
Having a small space for a garden.
-
A sunny front porch where I can sit and watch my grass.

I love my front porch too and I would have at one time, when the two olders kiddos were still in school, killed for a second bathroom. lol.
Anyway, thanks for the tip on the teaching book. I will look into it right away. My ds was diagnosed with learning disabilties when he failed the first grade and I \"made\" the school test him. So I know he will always have these difficulties. My older ds never got the test and help that he would have needed. He ended up dropping out, but did attend trade school and is a welder today. At 22 yo he makes more money than my dh will ever make. Thank God.
Well thanks again and have a great evening.

"I feel robbed"!
I used to make "Heart shaped cakes" out of my Little House cookbook growing up, and it called for Cream of Tarter. After I found this recipe, my mom quit buying it for me and it worked just as well. I know, it's crazy!
Have a great weekend and I'll check in on you Monday to catch up! :)

Sounds lovely. I lived in CA when I was fourteen. The first time I heard the fog horns at night I had no idea what they were. Scared this Texas girl half to death!
