More bits
Two days in a row I have been able to get out of bed before 6:00 am. Granted, it’s only fifteen minutes before, but it’s a start. My goal is to get up at 5:00 am, but I have to work towards that incrementally.
I used to always say I was not a morning person, but I find that morning is my favorite time. All I do in the later evenings is read or watch TV, so it’s not a loss to go to bed instead!
Mornings are so nice because it is peaceful. I get up and make breakfast, lunch and coffee and then I get to work! I write in my journal (It helps me get my mind focused and often leads me to areas where I should be praying). Then I read a book (right now I am reading “The Bible in Light of our Redemption”, which is an excellent study book). Then I read my Bible and pray. It usually takes me about an hour and a half, so I NEED to get up early if I want to have it done before the rest of the house rises!
David surprised me this morning. I told him it was time to get up and he laughed and said he didn’t have to work today. I always have mixed feelings about this. From a financial perspective, it’s definitely not good. From a wifely stand point, it’s wonderful!
We are going to finish painting the kitchen cupboards today. Nothing exciting about that except that it will be done. I am using white porch paint because it is the most durable paint on earth. LOL I bought little craft ovals (balsa wood, I think) to paint and put under each knob (I hope this will prevent my white paint from looking smudgy all the time.
We are down to the last two and a half weeks before the landlords visit and we want them to be pleased with the house and not regret renting to us. I think we are good tenants, but I want them to think we are exceptional. Let me re-phrase that: I want to BE exceptional!
The sun is already out and it’s not even 7:30 am. That bodes well for painting! Better get busy.
Everyone make today a great one!

The mornings are nice, and if you get an early start, a lot can be accomplished! Too bad I have such a hard time getting up. I'm sure if I went to bed earlier, I wouldn't have as much of a problem. We always get up at 6:45am, but I have to drink coffee and stare for about 30 minutes, then sit on the computer until like 10:00!!! I could do sooo much in those three + hours if I was 'awake'. :)

Well, i am not a morning person. My heart is in it, but my body says no. But my DH does not get home from work until 4am. So I would never see him if I did not stay up late. I often wait until the sun is up and go outside a while before going to to bed. I figure if I am up at 4 I can stay up until 6 for the sun rise.
Thanks so much for being so faithful to visit my blog and comment. I really appreciate it. HUGS!
