Bits and Pieces
Today, my daughter saw our first pumpkin (It’s very tiny and green, but I know what it is!). It’s funny, though; it is on one of the smallest pumpkin plants. I have two that are probably three times the size and I expected to see fruit on them first. Who knew gardens could be such an adventure.
I did a lot of painting today. The final coat is on the back wall of our living room, two cupboard doors and a drawer. I even painted the insides. I did this when we moved in, as evidenced by the two perfect paw prints my cat left when he peeked in to investigate. It was sad to paint over them, but I am not artistic enough to paint around them.
The sun came out late in the day, but it is warming my neck right now! It was a good time to put the cupboard doors and drawers out to dry. I love how clean they look.
My DH keeps fussing because I don’t by paper napkins anymore. Today, I cut up an old cotton blouse and made six cloth napkins, so now he can wipe his hands on something besides a dish towel!
I made zucchini bread, too. My friend gave me several and I have been using them regularly. I still have some left, so I might have to freeze them. Family can only take so much squash!
My daughter is bugging me to slice the bread, so I’d better hop to it.

OK, you have got me motivated to make napkins to. Mom was asking my sister and me to make some just last week with some homespun fabric that was given to us for FREE.
