Nothin' but blue skies
A beautiful day. Our summer is here at last (there are many jokes about it only lasting a week, but that’s a slight exaggeration). I spent some time puttering in the garden this morning: watering, weeding, and planting. I bought inoculants for my green beans and did the deed today, so they are all planted. I am really hoping something shows up this time!
My kids, all teenagers, are out having a water fight with the neighborhood kids. We live in a cul-de-sac, so it’s very nice for that sort of thing. I am getting tired of telling them to get away from the kitchen window, though!
Even though it’s a nice day, I have spent most of it inside…baking. Bread and cookies only, but they sure take time. It is way too warm in here, now. LOL I am on the last batch and as soon as it’s done, BAM! Off it goes.
Tonight for dinner I am making Indian Tacos, which consists of Navajo Fry Bread, spread with refried beans, cheese, lettuce and whatever other goodies I dig up. It’s another hot job, now that I think of it…mashing beans (that have been in the crock-pot all day) and deep-frying the bread. UGH! I’d change the menu but I already told everyone and they are really looking forward to it.
Hope everyone else is enjoying the day.

It has really been nice here in La. It is usually very very hot at this time of year, but the clouds have kept the son at bay. I have been wanting to bake something lately but haven't had the courage to do so. I think I will do it today. I have to stay home and wait for the plumber. (Which prob wont show till late this evening) But you have a great day on the cul-de-sac. lol

Wow...California. That seems so far away. I've never been there. When you talked about the weather I had to go remind myself where you lived on your homepage. I envisioned California as being hot year round. I'd love to see pictures of the area where you are. Do you like it there? Have you always lived there? I've lived only in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi in my lifetime.
