Thursday Things
I thought for sure the sun was going to be out today. It’s humid but no sunshine.
I got busy and started some bread and some “oven donuts”. I found that recipe aver at “Laine’s Letters” so I’m gonna try it out. I’ll let you know if it’s a success. After they are done baking, I am going to try my hand at cheddar crackers for our soup tonight; seems like you can make almost anything if you put your mind to it.
I’ve gotten most of the doors and their trim painted. My son needs to paint his, and I need to paint the French doors in my room and the window trim in another and I am done with my share of the painting (until I start on the kitchen cupboards, that is).
I really want to make curtains for the kitchen. I have valances, but I’d like more coverage. I must set aside one day a week for sewing.
My next project will be de-cluttering my kitchen. From there, I will work my way into the garage and we will empty it out as much as possible. I plan to have a yard sale at the end of this month and if I can sell things (i.e. get people to pay me for taking away my stuff) it will make life much easier. Any profit will probably just cover the dump run, but that works for me.
In honor of my new efforts to keep things short, I am going to wish every one a great day and go fold laundry.
Make it a good one!
